What is the power of Christ?

Paul said that he delighted in weakness, insults, and infirmities so the power of Christ would rest on him. What is this power that he talks about? I think the beatitudes might hold the answer. I think God's love is the power. And joy as well. But that's my opinion. What do you think?

Matthew 5:3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit,
For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4 Blessed are those who mourn,
For they shall be comforted.
5 Blessed are the meek,
For they shall inherit the [a]earth.
6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
For they shall be filled.

For they shall obtain mercy.
8 Blessed are the pure in heart,
For they shall see God.

2 Corinthians 12:. 9 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

I think you're right. It's amazing that there's power in humilty. The beatitudes express much of what it means to be a child of God-and what the new coveanant is all about.

All too often this world feeds our pride and lust. The world is God's enemy.

There is peace, love and joy in Christ. But we cant have this world and the kingdom at the same time. We can't desire wealth, pride or vanity. If we need money to be happy then we haven't experienced God's love. In my fallible opinion.

I agree. I hope you and I can develop a Christian friendship of love. I have met many dearly beloved friends on this site, including many friendships it didn’t occur to me I would make.
