What is the one thing, that makes you glad to be Christian?

One thing? Aw man...
That's like asking someone what their favourite video game of all time is, when each appeals to different areas and excels at different things we find equally excellent.
But ok, your question, your rules. Even if they do suck.
I think, if there is one thing that makes me glad above all, it's the peace. Before, I think my life was filled with many little holes, which I tried to fill every which way. Drink, drugs, money, socialising, huge circles of friends, no friends at all, my career - working in a new job all the time as I couldn't decide which way to go, where to head, indecision, the anger and frustration I felt more often than not when faced with things out of my control, the confusion about myself and my relationships with those around me, my apathy to events and situations around yet and my hipocrasy in doing nothing good yet knowing I wanted good for me and feeling like I deserved it.
All of those things are gone now. Filled with the love of God I have a peace about me, and I feel satisfied. There isn't a hole in my life anymore.
That's not to say I am satisifed with life, there is still much to do. But I am satisfied with me. Who I am and I feel a peace in that which I never had before in my life.
That's the main thing, as it's something I feel every single day, all the time. Yet by no means is it the only thing. Yet, you made sucky rules for this post so it's you get.

Just to know that he saved me and I will always be save so long as I abide in him. What about eternal life? etc, etc,etc,etc...There are so many things one can pride over for being Christian.

I would follow Christ to the ends of the earth and back. God or no God, Jesus Christ is a man worth following, and I pay my debts in full

Okay here's my one thing....
In March, my mother passed away. She was a very strong christian woman. As a christian myself, I am thankful for my belief in God and her belief in God because I do not doubt where her salvation was. I do not fear for her afterlife because I know where she is and I too will one day join her. It gives me strength and endurance to continue serving and loving God to know she endured to the end.
So I am thankful that I'm a christian because I can hopefully one day pass on from this world without my children fearing nor dreading where my salvation was as I felt with my mom.

The one thing that makes me glad to be a Christian?
Well, I don't have much in that direction. See I am just a guy trying to follow the teaching of a man called Jesus, and I guess if that makes me a "Christian" then I guess that is what I am labeled as, but, for me, I would say, that following the Teachings of Jesus, has made me a better person, not just to myself, but also to those around me, it given me a direction in my life, a means to know how to walk in this world, that I never really had before. I knew right and wrong, as the culture and society taught it, but, there was this constant, that I was missing, I was lacking a path, and a means to set down, in stone, what was the right thing to do in my life. And then this man called Jesus came into my life and said, "I'll show the path, I'll set it down for you, and I shall not change it, because, this is the right path in life"
From there, and from that, my life changed, I just followed what Jesus taught me, and when I was forced to face trials, or deal with changes in what the "Popular vote" of right and wrong was, I could walk among them, but not worry about them. I had a path, and I knew right from wrong, I had this direction of what I was to do, and how I was to do it, it was laid out for me, and regardless if the people around me were still trying to figure it out, I had it with me, it had been figured out, and remained tried, tested and true since it's foundation. I am just a simple man, and the teachings of another simple man, where a guiding force for me.
In the end.. One thing.. I would say.. a Foundation, Jesus is my mason, and he built the foundation by which I can build my house.

Because I know I'm not alone anymore, and I need to know this. And I know I will be in Heaven and I won't be separated from Gods Love ever! This is why I am glad I'm a Christian.
