What is the Gospel?

The Gospel is:

Man has sinned. Man is a sinner and the wages of sin is death.
God knew man could not pay for his own sins so His Son, Jesus lived a perfect life. Was without sin and was crucified. Gods wrath for our sins was taken out on Him, and because He did nothing wrong, it was enough for God. The price that was paid on that cross was enough so that if we confess our sins, confess that we are a sinner and confess that Jesus is Lord, God is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins so we can receive eternal life and be in Heaven with God forever.

Jesus was crucified, died, was buried and was raised from the dead 3 days later having defeated sin and death.

All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
Rom 3:23

For “whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.”
Rom 10:13

The Gospel means "good news".

John 3:16 does not go with verses from Romans, that makes a man made type of gospel.

See John 3:16 states it is belief in Jesus that gives a person Eternal Life salvation. The verses in Romans states who ever calls on the name of the Lord. Calling is not believing, in Romans it states that calling is not believing, How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed?

The gospel is the "good news" of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) and is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that BELIEVES.. (Romans 1:16) To "believe" the gospel is to trust in the death, burial and resurrection of Christ as the ALL-sufficient means of your salvation.
