The first birds appear in the Jurassic.
And they did NOT replace all non-avian dinosaurs. But lived alongside them for several million years, until the K-T event.
For a hundred million years, birds were just another sub-set of dinosaurs.
Some were more bird-like than others. But they were, and still are, part of the theropod lineage.

It could be that what we see under the earth is what existed in Noah's time:

Dinosaurs having feathers, birds having teeth, etc.

Some of these things were probably whisked away when the waters were taken back off the earth, and are now elsewhere in the solar system (probably Neptune).

Others were buried in the ground as "Easter eggs," to be discovered later.

I doubt it but they would be partially right when you consider Archosaurs as the common ancestor. But creationist don't accept the evidence for common ancestry or fossils because they are not compatible with a 6000 year old earth so of course you are going to disregard all the evidence.

I'm not demeaning faith. I'm stating the obvious, you have to have faith in people's conclusions. You obviously can't do all the work yourself, so you are believing what someone says in a book or online. Why that book? Why that person's conclusions?

That is why they are provisional when there are competing theories like BAND vs birds are dinosaurs, BAND falls fatally short on evidence while there is a preponderance of evidence that birds are dinosaurs making it the accepted theory.

Wrong! While I can't do the scientific work myself I have enough of a science background to understand and weigh the evidence and to draw my own conclusions. I can also go to science sites like Peaceful Science to interact with experts to fill in for knowledge that I do not have.
