Should a crockoduck be found, the theory of evolution would be falsified. It would have to be modified or replaced altogether--by another scientific theory. What would not happen is a rush to embrace a theologically dubious interpretation of Genesis.

Given that the only creator god who's worshipers have posited a crocoduck, is the god of YECery. You would be almost correct. Its a SHORT list of losers. And the only name on the list is "Jehovah/Yawah".

I think you have this backward. The rulers got converted by missionaries and then decided that their subjects would join the christian church. So it's more:
