I heard he was much less anti God in " real life" then in his debates.According to those who knew him best...no. But I'm actually half hoping that he was wrong. I love the thought of him having the opportunity of telling God what he really thought of Him.

He certainly couldn't tell God anything God didn't already know.
Please. let's not go that route. You should know that he is going to the same place you are when you die.Isn't he dead? Hope his logic led him to God before the end.
.. last seen arguing with St Peter at the Pearly Gates, I believe(?)According to those who knew him best...no. But I'm actually half hoping that he was wrong. I love the thought of him having the opportunity of telling God what he really thought of Him.
I still miss him...
And who can blame him? I, for one, am bloody tired of Fundamentalists telling me I'm going to hell for not believing in the literal inerrancy of Genesis, whether I believe in Christ or not.Dawkins was just an angry old man, far as I can see.
Ask a Catholic then.I, for one, am bloody tired of Fundamentalists telling me I'm going to hell for not believing in the literal inerrancy of Genesis, whether I believe in Christ or not.
I don't need to. I'm an Anglican (theologically almost identical) who was educated in Catholic schools. They think the notion that belief in a literal Genesis is a requirement of salvation is nonsense.Ask a Catholic then.
So you get tired of hearing people say you're going to Hell for not believing in the inerrancy of a literal interpretation of Genesis, but it's okay to tell us we're going to Pergatory (or worse) for not taking the Eucharist?I don't need to. Sure. The key difference is that they're not trying to teach it to other people's kids in the public schools. So you get tired of hearing people say you're going to Hell for not believing in the inerrancy of a literal interpretation of Genesis, but it's okay to tell us we're going to Pergatory (or worse) for not taking the Eucharist?
I don't understand this reply.Sure. The key difference is that they're not trying to teach it to other people's kids in the public schools.
Nope. Which is why nobody does this. But it's ok to teach them they are just smart chimps.
lol. no.It's exactly what they get. They might not use those words, but kids aren't dumb, they get it. The columbine shooters sure got it.
