Yes they did, but they don't qualify as "pagans", do they?
Well why not, is not the connection between paganism and early Christianity always brought up by some? As we can the connection between Judaism and Christianity, why can not we make that jump and claim it?

That's terrible the abuse you suffered at your church! Unfortunately there seems to be abuse everywhere, even in some churches. I pray that you recover from all your past hurts and abuse. I've been sexually abused myself as a child (not at church) by my mother's ex boyfriend, and I understand the suffering that goes with it. After some time in therapy and support from friends, I've been able to recover from that. I hate hearing about abuse in or outside the church. When I was a teenager, my friend's dad was a satanic High priest. He never abused his children (that I know of) but he did leave satanism and got born again.

Oh, do cut it out. I'm not your enemy, bro. Just someone who disagrees with you on a bunch of theological and historical matters - and not out of spite, either.
And what claim should I make? That Christians sacrifice(d) animals? They obviously don't and didn't.

Ave Maria said "All practices of magic or sorcery, by which one attempts to tame occult powers, so as to place them at one's service". Well I used to go to a church that sort of did that stuff. They prayed for folks and said they had demons and the people used it to control people. I could feel the spirit of fear and demons lurking around the edges of the room. I had to stand and take getting hurt or hit hard or they would say I had demons. I got fractured ribs one of those times. These people were suppose to be my friends and later when I had to face what my so called friends did to me I turned into a cutter for many years. Nobody wanted to see that I was hurting bad, and sometimes I have cut myself in church and not really felt bad about it. I got hit too many times in a revival service recently and justified hurting myself when the evangelist get away with hurting me too. So, am I just crazy or into something I don't know what?

The members of that congregation are crazy. You have to get away from them and contact the police. I also urge you to see a secular therapist - there are alternatives to cutting.

What is the difference in an incantation and quoting formulas that if said right suppose to bring magically results that makes your god answer?
Do you mean the barbarous names? They're a form of incantation.

What is the difference in casting a spell and putting a curse on someone?
I refer you to sidhe's excellent response above.

My other question is which is worse- a supposed christian that went to church but beat his wife and kids and in the past killed 2 babies and was convicted a convicted rapist or an out and out person that is in satanic worship that sacrifice animals but didn't hurt kids? Its like which is worse the hidden scorpions that you don't suspect or the snake that's obvious. How do people that were victims of ritual abuse get delivered or just get over it?
Assuming that the people in your question actually exist, I'd say a person that beats women and children, kills babies, and rapes people is much more dangerous than someone that has a different religion than you.

I also refer you to the above mention of the Satanic Panic being a load of bunk.

Yes, morningstar, these people actually exits. And as I've said before, satanist don't believe SRA happens. But then christians don't want to believe that CRA happens either. But then, when I was a kid back in the 60s, people didn't want to believe that some people that went to church on Sunday in the south were also child abusers, beat their kids and wife either. People still don't want to believe that horrible things happened to kids but it happened. Most of the men that molested me as a child went to church on Sunday. My church pastor in some of his sermon told that before he got saved, he was in satanic worship and offered animals and drank blood. People choose to believe what they want to believe. Years ago, I went to a church that was into christian ritual abuse. I got fractured ribs and hit alot of times then took up cutting myself to make atonement.

Just as a note, people can say lots of things. Doesn't mean they're true. There's a guy in the local Evangelical scene who talks about his time in paganism and occultism. All well and good, fine, but he says he was a "wiccanist" practicing "wiccanism" - and neither of those are accurate terms.

Let me just venture a crazy, crazy guess here; he was a rebellious teenager who wanted to be popular and fell in with sex, drugs and rock and roll and was introduced to satanism by a girl, and took part in orgies and rapes as well as animal sacrifice and blood rites?

That's the standard story form, at least.

Well, I'd have to say 'nothing'.

Putting a curse on someone, or praying that harm comes to someone, or casting spells to hurt someone; it all has the same effect... none.

U obviously know nothing about witchcraft,,u can not speak for others in the craft,,what do you know? Because you dont know,,,you can not speak on behalf of a witch,,or other Occultists
