Right Julie, as long as we cling on to trust and faith in God we won't slip...otherwise we will.

Then you are not are not following the guidelines set forth by your church. So if you can be an individual in regards to salvation why not be one in regards to scripture - which surely needs no divine interpretation from Rome.

Any church or any church leader can twist the Bible to have it mean what they want it to say by three simple tricks: 1. Taking a verse out of the context. 2. Adding words to the text of the word of God. 3. Subtracting words from the text of the word of God.

The topic is hotly debated within the Catholic Church - but historically and "traditionally" - and in most Catholic Churches outside of the U.S. it is a non-issue - the non-Catholic will go to hell. This is another topic though - so start me up on another thread if ya wish...
