What is the legal drinking age in Canada (to consume/purchase alcoholic beverages)? I am just curious

it varies from province to province. I believe they are all either 18 or 19. Alberta and Manitoba are 18, BC and Sask are 19, and I can't speak for the others.

Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec are all 18. (I've drank in all three!) The rest of Canada is 19. The best party city in Canada that I've ever partied in is Montreal. By far. FYI, Marajuana is not a criminal offense here either, under 7 grams I think.
I really don't understand why the drinking age in most of the US is 21, it doesn't make much sence to me. In most of western Europe it's 16.
