Matthew 7
15"Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. 16By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. 19Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.

What is good fruit?

What is bad fruit?
this is my understanding the good fruit is those who are who are of Christ and speak of the same things He speaks of.
but the bad fruit is refered to here as false prophets and are those who claim to be of Christ but speak not His words ,they speak of their own minds and of worldly things not Godly.
i think there are many false prophets about today ,you'll hear them justifying themselves and claiming to be Godly but do not do or preach the things of God.
they speak of themselves and things of the world.
but those of Christ speak of Him and His words.
the bible is our truth ,if any man speaks or justifys things that are condemned in His word they speak not of God but of themselves.

(1Jo 4:5) They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.

(2Ti 4:3) For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
(2Ti 4:4) And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

(2Pe 2:1) But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
(2Pe 2:2) And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
(2Pe 2:3) And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

(Rom 16:17) Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.
(Rom 16:18) For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

(Phi 3:18) (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:
(Phi 3:19) Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)

God bless.
paul.
