Then God said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years; and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth”; and it was so. (Genesis 1:14-15)

As December winds up, many people look forward to a new year, and with it, consider hopes and dreams for accomplishing goals. However, many Bible readers are unaware that the calendar most of the world follows today is not the biblical calendar God set back in Genesis and Exodus—and the new year doesn’t begin in January. Indeed, God has a calendar, and the Bible tells us all about it. His is a different system of days, months, years, and seasons than what we follow today—and there is much we can learn from it about God and how He has operated over time.

Ultimately, Satan does not want God’s people to follow the biblical calendar because like so many other types and shadows in the Old Testament, it points to Israel’s Messiah and affirms the accuracy of God’s Word. Satan’s goal has always been to lie and deceive. Even Daniel said: “He will think to change times (seasons) and laws” (Daniel 7:25).

It was decided that Wednesday 2nd September 1752 would be followed by Thursday 14th September 1752, losing the people 11 days.

We follow a biblical calendar and noticed a dramatic shift in our days and experiences. They're much richer and in sync. Attuning ourselves to the rhythm has been a blessing and we have more to learn. We follow the year seasonally in our diet and activities and bringing them together was a godsend. Everything moves in tandem and faster too and the days feel different.

While I have no doubt that there are many nuances we can learn from the OT Israeli calendar, we must remember that we are *not under the Law of Moses.* We are not under its calendar. That Law was specific to Israel before the Cross!

I also understand that God has His own prophetic calendar. However, we are told not to focus too much on "times and seasons," which are irrelevant to our own calling in our own time. Excessive speculation can lead to guesswork that is at best distracting and at worse, false projections.

If we simply try to understand God's program in history, that would be great! We are trying to cooperate with God. We do that by remaining in the spirit of Jesus and also by intellectual comprehension of what has been going on in the world and what is going on at present and what the aim is in all of these things. We do need to be on God's band wagon.

I agree, but we must also be aware.

King James Bible
And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time

Yes, I've never really dived into this, to specifically understand what is meant in any detail. I've always seen it just as we see it today, as an attempt to overthrow a Faith consensus in society.

To change the laws would be to change moral conventions, ie the laws of society. But to change the "times" is something I'll have to look into.

Understanding the times provides spiritual assistance for decision making and the bible mentions it more than once.

Of the tribe of Issachar, men who understood the times, with knowledge of what Israel should do. --1 Chronicles 12:32

Then the king spoke to the wise men who understood the times [asking for their advice]—for it was the custom of the king to speak before all those who were familiar with law and legal matters. --Esther 1:13

Satan doesn't want God's people to follow the Bible in any respect. Along with the Mazzaroth, biblical genealogies point to about 6,000 years of history with an earth flood at about 3,500 years ago. It doesn't take much reading of the Bible to see this.

[Act 17:26 NIV] From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands.

September and October are the 7th and 8th months... How Did the Months Get Their Names? obviously they are in the wrong place.

[Job 38:32 HNV] Can you lead forth the Mazzarot in their season? Or can you guide Ayish (Ursa Major) with her cubs (Ursa Minor)? Which includes the North Star Polaris.

Sun, Moon, and stars do His bidding and give Him praise. (Ever notice Sun and Moon are never plural.)

[Psa 148:3 HNV] Praise him, sun and moon! Praise him, all you shining stars!

September and October are the 7th and 8th months...

In Spanish the numbers 7, 8. 9 & 10 are;

Siete,
Ocho.
Nueve,
Diez

The months September, October, November & December in Spanish are;

Septiembre
Octubre
Noviembre
Diciembre

You will notice how the numbers correspond to the months, so something is a miss somewhere ???

The names of the months come from the ancient Roman calendar. The months' names reflect a mix of gods and goddesses, rulers, and numbers. For example, March was named after Mars, the Roman god of war.

There were originally only ten months in a year.

December's name derives from the Latin word decem (meaning ten) because it was originally the tenth month of the year in the calendar of Romulus c. 750 BC, which began in March. The winter days following December were not included as part of any month.

So I wonder who we have to Blame for such a mishmash ???

  1. Lunar Cycles: The concept of months came from observing the Moon's phases. One complete lunar cycle (from new moon to new moon) takes approximately 29.5 days.
  2. Solar Year: The Earth takes about 365.24 days to complete one orbit around the Sun, which defines our solar year.
365.24/29.5 = 12.38 months in a year

Quite a simple math, IMHO. If you wanted to have just 10 months in a year, it would not match with the astronomical reality, namely with seasons.

Good point here. Maybe three & a bit would do it, don't forget we only have January & February remaining.

Julius Caesar's astronomers explained the need for 12 months in a year and the addition of a leap year to synchronize with the seasons. At the time, there were only ten months in the calendar, while there are just over 12 lunar cycles in a year.

The ancestor of the Gregorian calendar was the first Roman calendar which had some differences: it consisted of 10 months rather than 12. In order to synchronise the calendar with the lunar year, the Roman king Numa Pompilius added 2 more months, January and February.

Is this Gods calender or Satan's ?

I guess people in the ancient past tried to have 10 months simply because decimal systems are natural for humans (we have 10 fingers on hands). Interestingly, Babylonians had 12 months, because they did not use the decimal system.

Because there are 12 lunar months in a solar year, 12 months is the closest number we can get, to keep things easiest (having as little tweaking as possible). However, because its not exactly 12 months (but 12.38), there is a need for some adjustment every few years.

Is this Gods calender ?
Not sure what you mean by this question.

God's calendar is thus solar-lunar. The lunar reckoning uniquely tied His calendar to the rain seasons in Israel, which makes sense knowing that God's feasts, outlined in Leviticus 23, centered on agriculture in Israel and the ripening of certain harvests.

Interestingly;

The first month is called Aviv (spring) or the First Month Biblically, and is now called Nissan (Jews adopted the Babylonian month names during the Babylonian Exile). The first of Nissan is the New Year for months.

Humphreys and Waddington therefore suggest a scenario where Jesus was crucified and died at 3pm on 3 April AD 33, followed by a red partial lunar eclipse at moonrise at 6.20pm observed by the Jewish population, and that Peter recalls this event when preaching the resurrection to the Jews (Acts of the Apostles 2:14–21).

33 is number used by the Luciferians in their symbology signalling to each other.

Well, I am still not sure what you mean by God's calendar. Do you think that God "lives" according to rain seasons in Israel or even according to our solar system? That would be a bit absurd.

If you want to say "ancient Hebrew calendar", that would make more sense.
