  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

what is freedom to you? God is freedom to me. I think one of the highest conceptions of God is freedom, love, truth, and goodness. so to me freedom is love, truth, and Gods goodness.

Adam thought that he'd obtain more total good by being free from God, from His authority. But that freedom, which opened the door to sin, only brought slavery, slavery to sin.

Our ultimate freedom is found in being subjugated to God, which is truly realized as we come to know, and then come to love Him with our whole heart, soul, mind, and strength. Then we're freed from enslavement to sin, free to be who He created us to be. Freedom doesn't come from remaining neutral, because we can't be neutral; we're born into bondage, separated from the Source of true freedom. Rather freedom comes from choosing life over death, good-the Ultimate Good-over evil, God over no God.

the wonderful thing about God is that you give your freedom to Him and then you see that being His slave is the ultimate freedom. and it is slavery by freedom and love, instead of bondage slavery made by the freedom of others who exercise their authority to put others in bondage or those who have a image of God and force it on others with threats, manipulation, fear or other lower forms than that of God-love. or those sheeplings that don't have enough of something ( I think spiritual maturity ) and so are in need of masters to guide them until they reach the fullness of Christ. those masters can be of God or the devil, God orders all things to lead to Him.

greater slavery is freedom and a loving relationship with Father. and lesser slavery is from freedom but only for the master, or the slave under the master has not an equal freedom with the master due to weakness or being enslaved with a slaver less than Love or it is a freedom that is less that full slavery and freedom in Christ.

freedom is nothingness. slavery is that which is. together the 2 make a spirit. the Father of all spirits is God, the closer you are to God the more hot your spirit will be, the more powerful your spirit will be, because the source of our relationship with God is rooted in freedom and love and infinite hunger for God and this hunger ( if not the fullness of God ) can never be complete.

( freedom is a shapeless self in the image of God, a child of God made from Gods love and His own freedom )
freedom and slavery are the same thing because whatever you 'walk to' makes the shapeless self into a shape. we are forever both shapeless and shape. with freedom with yourself or someone else or God, it becomes a slave-master relationship. master and slave to self, or master over others or slave to a master, or slave to God who is master and makes you a master and God is also a servant of love but master of Himself and so we too are slaves of love and masters with love in God.

the first master slave is selfishness and self-love, which already cools your spirit down because God is giving love while you are self-love in this relationship. self-love is the cold, it is what makes others enslave others and makes them cold and attempts to drink others up, which is sin because God made us for fellowship with Himself. we were made in His image and so we stay in His image by loving God and reflecting His freedom and love to Himself and then secondly to others. but to do this we have to be His slave. God is the ultimate slave and ultimate master and when we grow cold it is only by the one who lovingly gives that can make us hot. we must be formed into the ultimate slave image so that we can also take on the ultimate master image, which only has God Himself as the master of masters and slave of slaves.

the second master slave is either good or bad and can get hotter or colder by a relationship depending on how much this relationship leans towards God or a partial image of God or self-love of yourself or others self-love.

the third is unity between a person and God and spiritual maturity, this is the way to forever burn hot and make others burn hot. it is the ultimate freedom, the measureless spirit, your soul and spirit being united to Gods Spirit. it is walking in love and not ruling over others or having self-love and not loving others more than God. but being a servant to others rather than a selfish ruler over others. true authority is from a unity of self and God.

and so there are different types of authority and slavery, some are in the perfect image of God while others are an distorted or cold image of that image of God, a fallen away image of God. this is why the church on earth is both spiritual and worldly, there are both saints and sinners in the church and the wicked often take the kingdom by force. but God is freedom, not force. If God wanted to force us then He would not have givin us freedom. unless He wanted to give us freedom just so He can force us, which is not love. only in freedom and in love can we destroy and rule the world, you can not forcefully rule the world in love because forcefully ruling over others is of the world and not of God.

The "freedom" of the Bible is the 'perfect law of liberty.' That comes about when the forecast of Jer.31;33 and Heb.8;10 occure. When the law is in our hearts and minds then we don't follow it out of compulstion any more as the Old Testament did. When the law is transferred into our inner selves then we follow nothing and no one as Jer.33 says. Then we are free.

Before Jesus came and taught us the perfect law of liberty we were all under compulstion to follow the law. But now when we are born again of the spirit of Jesus we don'e follow but lead. Now we make the law from within us. That is what Christianity is all about.

But i didn't explain it very well, sorry.

This law is life which the father has in him, as do all his sons, for we would not be a son unless he granted to us to have life in ourselves as our father has in himself, it's all about one, and all our thoughts resting in this tree ( of life), that this kingdom is in us.

this is freedom according to Maria Valtorta who when i was waking a few days ago, i saw a paradise and I know the saints and Jesus are around me which seems to also be freedom, in the company of those who love God. such are many in the forums here:

The Sun, which you can hardly see behind a thick curtain of clouds, given your sensuality of the flesh and of your thought, your rationalism which has crushed in you all capacity to believe with the simplicity of children and the firmness of the martyrs -- the Sun which you can no longer contemplate because you do no longer succeed in lifting your head from the heavy yoke of your humanity which overwhelms your spirit -- while My blessed ones, stripped of every human constraint, stand with the head of their mind always raised to adore Me -- the Sun -- and It is [truly] there, that Sun: It spreads oceans of light and fire to clothe with warmth, and to reclothe with splendor these friends of Mine for whom I have prepared an eternal throne. The Sun is There, and It is already theirs, for It shines above their head like the face of a father over the cradle of his baby, and there is nothing sweeter than this loving, jealous, protection of Love which does not leave them even for one minute.

You [men] who no longer know how to sing your harmonies to God, you no longer even know how to tell Him that you love Him: not with your mouth, but with your heart -- and it is this harmony that God wants to hear from man -- do not then deny that these, My lovers, can repeat supernatural harmonies, learned from Me and from My saints. My lovers have made their spiritual throat pliable, warbling without tiring -- either from the passage of time or the adversities of life -- warbling their hymn of love, and of all the things that have given them their cue to tell Me: 'I love You.' They have thus been capable of learning and retelling the songs of Heaven.

Oh! bless them, these [little apostles] who unveil to you points and lights, who bring back to you lights and words which your poverty does not know; these who, with a total slavery of love have been fastened upon a gallows which, like Mine, has its base fixed in earthly mud, but its summit in the Azure Blue of the sky. They are bridges by which you can go up -- you who know only how to crawl -- by which you can go up and know how beautiful is that Azure Blue, and be enamored by It and have the desire to imitate It.

Why do you all want to deny, why do you want to say to God: 'You are not allowed to do that'? The apostolicity of the Church did not end with the Apostles. It continues with the lesser apostles. Every saint is one of them, every 'voice' is one of them. And I, Head of the apostolic Church, can choose and spread everywhere these My little apostles for your good.

They are humble, compared to you scholars? And what were the first twelve? Fishermen, illiterate, ignorant. But it was them that I took, and not the scholarly rabbis, because since they [the twelve] were conscious of being nothing, they were capable of accepting the Word; while the rabbis saturated with pride, had no capacity to accept It. Humility is what I seek, and if these [little apostles], even while remaining loving, pure and generous, should become proud, I would abandon them without fail.

There are two things that I absolutely require in them: love and fidelity to the truth -- and not only to God-Truth, but also to the virtue-Truth -- and also: sincere humility. And I am still more uncompromising on this [latter virtue]. Pride, the sign of Satan -- the first sign of Satan -- sends Me away in disgust.

Therefore think that if I give My peace to them [My little apostles], none of you can condemn them. They are beyond your condemnations. Within My arms they love and listen to the secrets of God and then offer them to you according as God wills, in order to throw you a necklace of Paradisal pearls which may be a guide and ladder for you to Heaven.

I give you My peace, My 'voice.' Rest in it as a baby in the bosom of its father."

if what you want to do, is the same as what you should do for God and your fellow people, then you live your life without compulstion. If you must force yourself to do what you should do then you are living under compulsion. You are captive to your willpower.

But when the time comes, as Jer.31;33 tells us, and Paul confirms in Heb.8;10, then we will emanate the highest laws of God from within ourselves. Every born again Christ follower shall do this. Then we each are no longer following anything or any one. Then we will be "free." This is what the Bible means by the "perfect law of liberty." James 1;25

Freedom is when you do what you want to do. It is when you act "not out of compulsion to anything not even a Law.

Christian get "freed" when they are born again and then have the law within themselves. Then they adhere to principles which they believe in and not those set up for them to follow.

The Old Testament followed laws, the New Testament people have the laws "within themselves" and so do not follow at all. They lead. Jer.3133 Heb.8;10

Can anyone understand this? Can anyone understand what it takes to be truly free? James calls it "the perfect law of liberty." Jm.1;25

When we worship one without us it invariably becomes an image and by this image captivity ... the narrative of truth is from within. The reason it is this way for us, is because it is this way for our father, there is no truth outside of him, and there is no shadow of turning in him.

It's harder to wake one who is in the camp then one who is outside of the camp. The picture of them in the wilderness reveals the true passover, but in reverse as it relays to the garden scenario.

Yes, you have to step away from the situation or not be involved, in order to see it "objectively." Whats wrong with seeing life "subjectively" even if it isn't absolute/objective truth? Whats wrong with living half asleeep?
