What is this book about, Ley?

The Shell Seekers is a lovely book that begins with a lady returning home from hospital after a heart attack. She was the daughter of a famous artist and has his painting called The Shell Seekers and she is one of the children in the picture. Her children, for various reasons want her to sell the painting (they want some money) and the lady looks back over her life and an affair she had during the war. What happens next with regards to the painting and the way things work out is beautifully written, but I will leave that for you to read for yourself.

I've been reading and studying the works of John Ross MacDuff. He was a popular Christian author in the 1800s. He was best known for practical and devotional applications for Christian living. This is one of my favorite time periods for Christian authors, and you can find a wonderful variety at Grace Gems:

I just finished a new Karen Kingsbury book entitled "Take Three." Karen is my favorite Christian fiction author. It is my habit to buy any new book of hers as soon as it is released.
