Hmm... I just thought... the Eros Redeemed book is big long and wordy... you might find it a bit of a handful but then it is very thorough...

I think the ancient paths book is much better, it isnt just about marriage but about forming a safe and healthy environment for Children, but it is only small - you could read it in an hour and I found it a lot more spiritually refreshing than the bigger one.

Hi Lambslove..

I agree with Louis.. there is a big difference between a secular and christian marriage... From dating all the way thru death of a partner.. granted - there are just as many divorces among christian couples as secular - but there is a difference IF we allow God to be the Center of that marriage.. I just celebrated My 23rd anniversary.. and God has always been the center of our marriage.. and I could tell the times he wasn't..

When We married - My wife and I both said divorce wasn't an option to look at or consider - We have problems like anyone else - but We sit and pray about the things that could affect our marriage.. We sat and prayed when we looked for another church - we prayed whether to Homeschool our daughters after Elem. school - We prayed about finances - We prayed about MANY MANY things.. My wife has submitted to ME in our marriage - she isn't a slave - we discuss many topics - and agree majority of the time.. but she defers to MY decision when there is an impasse.. she leaves the final decision to Me - but most of ALL _ We pray and ask God to lead us...

a slight comment on the living together.. I guess the BIGGEST point to be made as a CHRISTIAN - The Bible says your not supposed to do that and thats good enough for Me personally.. sex is supposed to be saved for the Marriage and God has made it special for a husband and wife..

I wish you the best in marriage - let God lead you and your spouse and you can't go wrong...
