What is a free mason?? /need advice?

Fear of what is unknown and they feel it is somehow a threat to religion...of course religious bodies feel that anything outside of church is evil...right?
Think a minute...can you imagine Satan wanting to have his followers donate millions of dollars to handicapped children...to take care of widows and orphans? God says that a house divided against itself cannot stand...Satan cannot do good works.

Also, people make quite a lot of money slurring Masonic groups. Masonic groups just collect all they can to give it to charity.

I am fully aware of the Charity donation by such organisations. My great grandfather left his millions to them. But every Christian knows that we cannot be saved by works - faith in Jesus as Lord is essential.

Not good works..it defeats his purpose..and I'm not saying that a person's good works would save them..I was speaking of Satan..not individuals.

I disagree. Anton LaVey and Aliester Crowley spend their money on themselves; it was a tenet of their beliefs.

It doesn't sound silly but I don't find in there that you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. If you haven't accepted Christ you can be blinded by the works of people. I understasnd that many go around saying well I do good things, and all my friends do good things, many even go to church.

God is real and so is satan. Satan is crafty and promises success and wealth and wordly gifts if you follow him.

So what if, in your network of successful masons, after you reach a certain degree you were promised a profitable business and that all you had to do was reach the highest level of masonry which recognized the wonderful Light of the world?

All you need to do was take the sacred oath, would you do it?

What do you mean by "Masonic scripture"? Nothing has been "amended" to "remove the name of Jesus Christ". Sweetkitty has already explained that Masonic organizations are not primarily religious in nature: we all share a belief in one God; we are all monothiests and that is all we must have in common. This is why there are both Jewish and Christian members, as Sweetkitty already explained.

To discover the truth regarding such an organisation, you need to look further than a member who is prohibited to speak of it.

Research, read all you can get your hands on, and draw your own conclusions. This is what I did. And I strongly recommend W.J.McCormick's book. It uses scripture to back up all statements and comparisons.
