I know you asked me not to respond here, but you both agreed and also said you would not address the rest in my post....to which I reminded you that all of the characteristics of I Cor. 13 had to be in place for it to be Love...thus all would have to be true of the inverse as to the opposite of Love. IOW's if even on characteristic doesn't apply, it isn't Love or the opposite when talking about inverse.

I wanted to make sure that you were not inflating what I said about you agreeing or disagreeing with that is all.
Address me in PM. This is a public shame. Our defences against each other's misunderstandings cannot be seen as being motivated by love, only pride.

Not sure how a lag in posting is a shame, but I think we are done anyway as per my last PM to you...spoken in Love no matter how you want to interpret it.

to love your enemies is not so much a commandment as it is the spirit we are growing up into. anger and hatred have taught me things that I would have not otherwise, in the condition I was in, have learned. the teachings of Jesus are very destructive to the survival mentality of animals existing in attempt to procreate themselves. but that mentality ends up getting out of control when that alone is what a person bases their life on. it turns people into monsters that make war with one another. everyone gets all uptight and forces so many rules and laws upon one another. they become vain in their thinking and do stupid things such as tell people they can't even live anymore unless they abide by such and such bureaucratic rules/systems. because they have lost their sight of the things that matter the most or have mixed their beautiful wine with that of gall.

in short, without "divine love" this reality falls into ugliness. Jesus response to this wickedness is to not be like it is. hatred is not always a bad thing. it has its good purposes. if people would hate the right things we would end up having a lot less evils in our world. Jesus hated evil things which is why he loved his enemies even though they did not love him. the thing is that evil people are suckers. they fell for the trap. they could not handle mortality. they thought they could escape from the inevitable fact that we shall all die. in their attempts at control and self preservation they show just how weak they truly are. for it takes much more quality of character and development of the self to live for something that matters in a reality that seems like it's sometimes out to get you. most of the problems in our world are now human created or humans have enough capacity to be able to solve the problems we face... but by not existing in a high vision of a beautiful reality and personality, we become unable to turn the earth into heaven.

it is not so hard to not hate people in many instances. evil people are blinded or maybe they are just doing as much as they can according to their developed capacity for what they believe is right. often when at their worse they end up doing very irrational things and that is sad. sometimes their brain is wired in a manner that makes it very hard for them to not be evil. but we don't have to be like they are and they need to see something better than what they are.

the truth is that very many people have very underdeveloped moral capacities. they don't think for themselves enough. or their selves are so false and empty due to them never forming themselves towards something solid and stable, they end up getting pushed around by whatever can push them, and thus their thinking becomes very dangerous ( lol ;( ). many lack discipline. it's easy to be a slave. its hard to be free.

but in each person there is the struggle of the spirit and of the baser things that we are. living by our spiritual or higher nature causes great things to happen. and it manifest itself in all kinds of ways. humans have done a lot of beautiful things in this world, how foolish we are to not see that we could have all the goods of the world without any of the pain and yet foolishly we keep falling into pits that we think are good for us, for we are often unwise and spiritually immature. it is the tragedy of the world that we exist in. you will either be helping to drag it down, keeping it the same or pulling it up.

what makes this world so hard is that there are so many of us in varying degrees of perfection and goodness. everything would be vastly simple if only one person was evil and needed to change. when he changed everything would be fine. but there are so many people and so one must be careful not to be devoured by the various "evil spirits" that rule over this or that person. for whatever you behold is that which you shall become. if you are not you, who is gonna be you? so be the most beautiful, most desired, best and brightest that you can be. keep searching and you shall find that which you seek. honesty is very important, as is true humility... which is something of an inner humility rather than the outward submission to people and things. it is rather a submission to Christ in you, the hope of glory.
