I admit that I made a horrible mistake a year ago and lost my viginity. I feel horrible about it now though (now that I know what I've really done). Has anyone else dealt with this and, if so, how?

Now that we have done something outside the biblical mold for marriage we essentially will go into marriage "shot in the leg" having experienced something that we shouldnt have. I too lament this fact but we need to forget the past and press on to the goal.
What do you think it means?
humbleservant86 said:So are you saying that by being "shot in the leg" marriage won't work?
The Lord's Envoy said:Not at all. Being shot in the leg is not a mortal wound, but it is a wound nonetheless. We have really jaded ourselves out of experienceing the fullness that the marriage experience could be. However, God repairs all wounds and his grace abounds. I long for marriage very much and one day, I am sure I will have a wife who will appreciate and love me more than I can know. I just wish I waited for her.

KJV said:Hebrews 12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
Heb 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
