The Bible teaches against ghosts.
Wonderful..Mary was alive during most of the time..along with all the Apostles. I would much prefer a visit from Paul than Mary (clearly she is blessed...but the obsession with her feeds into all these "marian" apperations..we don't even know what she looks like lol, but clearly some glowing figure that kinda looks like a woman must be Mary, the blessed mother of God.But the fact remains that not everything is in scripture. Add unto that the fact that Mary was alive while most, if not all, the NT was being written and the "there are no Marian apparitions in scripture" argument becomes a weak one.
What would the purpose of Mary being sent to us serve? do you believe that what we have laid out in scripture is the finished revelation to us? or is it possible that God still sends Mary (apparently he stopped using angels when Mary entered the picture) to actually continue to "reveal" new teachings to us?There is a difference between a "ghost" and a vision (or apparition if you will) that was sent from God.

Proof?private revelation is not
Proof?in some cases to establish particular devotions.

I wasn't being serious man.Dude, you won't get an appearance from Paul, He's dead!

Public revelation is closed, private revelation is not. God still sends angels and Mary as well as apparitions of Jesus and other Saints to guide us or in some cases to establish particular devotions.
I don't know that there's a difference when I don't know it was sent from God. If there is no record in The Bible of God ever sending a human with a message, why would He do so now, and never to large crowds?
Honestly I have a feeling that its not a very documented thing.Do any protestans know when mary died? I won't ask Catholics because thay have an unscriptural belief that she did not die!

It is idolatry, and a collective delusion born of "aderation".
Yes it is and Jesus didn't even worship his own mother. Where in the Bible did anyone ever worship Mary? If you pray to someone, you worship them and Jesus told us who to pray to.It wasn't his mother.
