  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

So..my sister ended up having tests done yesterday...and nothing came up

but now she's back in the ER ...and all my mom will tell me is that "she's not good"

So...prayers for my sister

and for me because I'm SO not okay with this "Mary doesn't need to know what's going on" stuff....and I'm trying not to be angry about it because I know they are all worried, too..

but I have no idea what's going on!!

and I have another test tomorrow .... and I can't concentrate

and this is completely selfish

My sister's in the hospital and here I am whining for stupid stuff

First of all, Mary.. I'm praying for your sister. I hope that everything is okay over there.


Secondly, thank you to those who've prayed for my friend. I really appreciate that and I know she would too if she knew I'd asked.


Thirdly, I hate to have another prayer request, but.. something was discovered recently that could adversely affect my baby. Please please pray for him or her and this situation. I don't really want to get into gritty details, but it is not something that is incredibly abnormal (it's been found before in other mothers and my doctor was pretty calm about it), but it carries the potential for miscarriage and/or other serious problems for me, as well. Not incredibly concerned with that portion, but I am concerned for my baby's safety (if that makes sense).
