  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Pray for a man named Art. He owns a music shop that I do business with every now and then. I went today to pick up some CD cases, and he had a sign on his window saying that he has a family emergency and that he was going to be out. As far as I know Art is not a Christian. The Lord put a burden on my heart for him today. I've been rehearsing how and what I'm going to say to him when I witness Christ to him, but pray that the Lord will speak to his heart.

PS - I've been able to put a box of CDs of the gospel being preached on his counter. Who knows what the Lord will use to bring him to Himself.

i've got a few prayer requests a couple of them are somewhat selfish, but oh well.

first, my cat was sick tonight. I don't think its anything too serious, but it looks like she's been eating plastic or something so please pray its all out of her system and she's okay.i know she's not feeling too hot cuz she's doing that cat thing right now where she just wants to go into hiding and avoid the world, so i'm a bit worried. of course she's my baby so i don't like her being sick to begin with.

second. Some of you know i have fibromyalgia (its a chronic pain condition for those who don't know), and i've had this flareup the last four days and it doesn't seem to be going anywhere fast. i haven't been able to sleep properly because of this the last few nights. i've got a shift tomorrow i just need to get some sleep tonight. if i can get that i know i'll be okay tomorrow.

and lastly. perhaps the most selfish of my requests... there's a guy at work who seems to think we have a deep connection because we talked for thirty seconds about 2 weeks ago and can't take even the most obvious hints that i'm not interested. He's only there as a temporary help as a painter, so he may be done now for all i know. but please pray if he's still there that he will leave me alone tomorrow. sounds awful i know to ask for prayer for something like that but it does get a little frustrating

Take that creepy painter guy! If he keeps bothering you, you should say something to his supervisor or whoever is in charge of the project he is there working on.

it turned to be a nonissue today i was supposed to work for a class that would put me down where he works but they randomly decided to move the class about as far away from there as they could get without leaving the building. and now i'm off days there so its highly unlikely i'll ever see him again
