Hey Hoosey! Where the heck have you been, woman? You've been missed around here!

Thank you for the prayers, and I will talk to Abba about you, your father, and his stents.

I've been working about 55-60 hrs a week for the last four months. I was thrown into a job that was left in shambles by the previous employee and received little training (none in some cases). It's been a rough time. I'm thankful to have the job but the stress has been taxing to say the least.

Dad's surgery went well. He and my uncle had a little trouble getting to the hospital due to weather and being held up by accidents on the interstate but they made it okay. Dad is staying overnight in the hospital for observation but everything seems good. :) Praise God and Thanks!

My best friend's father-in-law has sepsis. He was on a business trip in Virginia when it overtook him, and they transferred him to ICU. Please pray for 49-year old Daryl and his family. It will be between two weeks and six months before they will know anything for sure about his condition, but they are giving him a 40% chance of living through this. :prayer:

They said that he's stable for now, and as far as they can tell, the infection isn't going to kill him. However, like I said, it's going to be some time before they can truly tell anything.

On a different note, please pray for me as I try to honor the Lord in regarding a sister in Christ that I met recently.

I have my financial aid appointment at the hospital tomorrow at 10 AM MST. Please pray for God's favor on my situation, so that I will only have to owe co-pays instead of the large sums I will have to pay without the financial assistance.

You got it, Rob.

Trent,

In Isaiah 59 it says "your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear." [Isa. 59:2] And In Psalm 66, "If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened." [Psalm 66:18] Those verses are pretty clear. Unconfessed sin is a hindrance to prayer because it causes God not to hear.

Jesus teaches us to daily confess our sins (Matt. 6:12), naming specific, individual sins and agreeing with the Lord that they are sins...not mistakes or weaknesses of character. And if we do, we are promised this encouraging word from 1 John 1:9: "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." We are to confess every sin with the certainty that we will be forgiven and cleansed of all unrighteousness.

All sin...past, present and future...is forgiven through the sacrifice of Christ on the cross. Our daily, unconfessed sin keeps us out of fellowship with God. That’s why it's the prayer of a righteous man that is effective.

James 5:16

Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.

Praying with you bro.
