I don't think it will ever be possible to go "back" to where I used to be, but the force of the pull is still felt apparently. I didn't think that was possible, so I guess I'm a little thrown off because of it. Oh, the webs we weave. Just prayer would be appreciated.

I mentioned this in the IJWTS thread, but I wanted to ask for prayer here. My brother found out yesterday that he may lose his job due to slow business. Please pray that he does not lose his job.

Lifting in prayer. :prayer:

And now his car won't start. My brother has already been dealing with a health problem and a very stressful personal situation. I'm not sure how much more of this he can take.

Is he a believer? Either way, maybe you could try reassuring him with 1 Corinthians 10:13. God doesn't/cannot lie.

So, today is my sister-in-law's first day at home with the newborn and the toddler...with my brother gone back to work....and they also have another girl staying with them for a few days..

She's a little overwhelmed to say the least..so if y'all wouldn't mind praying for her, that would be great :)

Praying for her. :)

Heavenly Father, I ask You to continue rescuing the lost from the domain of darkness and bring us into the Kingdom. You alone can draw and enable us. You alone can send Your Holy Spirit with power to convict us of the sin in our lives and our need to repent and believe in Your truth. The truth that Jesus is the only way to You ... that He alone is the way, the truth and the life.

Father, I ask you to forgive the sins of the lost. I'm asking in Jesus' name to tear down the strongholds in their minds that those sins and transgressions have built. I ask in the authority of Jesus' name to overcome the power of the enemy in their lives, to ask You to bind evil spirits away from us in the name of Jesus and the blood of the Lamb through the word of our testimonies.

I ask that You continue sending us to open their eyes and turn us from darkness to light. Father please help us to be willing and active believers. Please do not let their hearts be hardened, but instead open their hearts to receive Your truth. Rip away any deception that covers their hearts, any false teaching that confuses their minds. Help us to hear your Word with power and conviction as the Word of God and not the word of man. Give us understanding so that the enemy will not be able to steal Your Word from their hearts.

Father, help us see their need for a Savior, to know they must confess their sins, repent, believe and live a fruitful life. Help us to control our emotions ... to love and edify and choose Your mercy and Your gift of grace and faith. I ask in Your will, that not any should perish. In Jesus' precious and mighty name. Amen.

Praying in agreement.

Lord, I confess all my sins to You. Wash me anew, fill me with Your Spirit. Keep my eyes focused on You. Thank you Jesus for loving me and dying for me. I am so unworthy of Your love. In Your precious name, Amen.

I've decided to go back to freelance writing. There are several things I need prayer for:

  • Writing as a temporary career goes against my parents' wishes for me to "get a real job". I essentially (but respectfully) told them that I would spend the sixth day of my week looking for work, but until I find something to pay the bills, my "fake job" will have to do.
  • Consistency! Writing failed last time I tried it because I didn't take it seriously enough. I only have to write five articles a day, but that process will take 7.5 - 8 hours each day. When you're self-employed and have ADD out the nose, concentrating on your work can be a nice little pipe dream at times.
  • Wisdom. It doesn't help me any if I get buckets of cash and end up blowing it all on stupid junk. I'll essentially be getting paid $10 an hour, which is the best rate I've ever had at a job. I don't need to get crazy with it.
  • Success. Please pray that the Lord would guide my research and that I would be able to find titles to write on so that I don't run out of work.
The biggest thing right now is that I'm having to go to the local library to do the work, which means getting out of the house. That means getting past my Dad, and getting the "real job v. fake job" speech every morning, with the occasional "you're neglecting your responsibilities" speech thrown in for flavor. :sorry:

I have this deep emotional pain in my heart and I am not sure why. Prayer would be nice. Thanks and God bless :).

I'm looking for a networking website, but I can't remember the name of it. I'm looking for my dad. I heard he's on this particular one. I'm pretty sure it starts with an "M". It may sound like myspace because that's what's coming to mind when I try to remember it.

Thanks ahead of time because I know I'm meant to contact him right now, so I know I'll get the answer here. :) This man has had a calling on his life that is unspeakable and has run from it the entire time. He once was the most....Godly man I knew. I haven't seen "that man" in 20 years. I saw him at Christmas but some things came to light that caused alot of conflict and his decision was to...basically disown us. I don't feel that is what he really wants. I have not had contact with him since I've "changed". He was the one that set the foundation and planted seeds for me to be where I am now though. "A father is not a man, he's the man I remember." I now refuse to let years go by, once again, before we talk. Prayers appreciated. Thanks :)

Also, some other prayer requests:

A previous school friend of mine is apparently going through his rock bottom right now. He has been seperated over a year but not yet divorced. He has what seems to me, had a kind of breakdown and done some things that aren't great. I was told by his sister today that he is basically homeless in a town a ways from here away from everyone. He has two small daughters. I've felt led to contact him for months, but I haven't. It's really strong now though and I'm not sure how to go about it because we were once interested years ago and his estranged wife is my cousin. So.....I don't want anything I might do or say to be seen as a threat by either side. My cousin I don't really know but is pretty confrontational. He is in the town where I go to church and my thinking is to get ahold of him and introduce him to the church family to at least let him know he has some outlets if he feels he needs them at any given low time. He is not being allowed access to the girls in any way and has apparently tried self-harm this weekend. I'm working on setting this up today (the connection to some help).

I have another couple, friends with both (I set them up heehee). It seems they are having trouble right now. Nothing major, but a distance is beginning between them due mainly to financial issues.

Lastly, another couple. The husband I went to school with and the wife I work with. I don't know her really well, but she has come to me several times this year about their issues. They are really struggling right now.

(They/this issue is coming out of the wood-work all at once. It's crazy. Like, what am I supposed to do? Suggesting advice or support just doesnt seem to be getting through to both simultaneously. All I can think to do is invite everyone to my awesome church. ~laugh~ I don't know. These things are being laid on my plate and I've "ignored" them for to long. It's time to step in for these lost ones. Of all three couples, only one person is saved that I know of. )

Thanks everyone
