CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I don't like to post for myself but I'm having a major depressive episode. There's some 'drama' going on with the family and it's added fuel to an already large fire. My family could use prayer right now too. It's a long story with several issues so I don't feel like posting all the details.
You and your family are in my prayers.. Well done on posting this.. you will receive the answers you need.. glory to GOD..

Thanks for the prayers. She is much better!! She is not bed ridden anymore and is walking around and talking.

Thank you to those who have prayed/been praying. My depression is a little better...still comes and goes. Part of it is seasonal affective disorder and we've had a couple of sunny days. My family's situation is still pretty messed up though.
Prayers going out to those on here too, especially WhatSetsUsApart on your breakup/loss.
My bf could use some prayers tomorrow. He's got a potential job interview....he's been unemployed for 2.3 years and this is the first response he's gotten from sending out a resume. I'm really hoping something works out. He's not able to collect unemployment so he's going to need an income soon.

What if His people pray? Let me tell me you what can happen.
I've been in this field a mere almost ten years. Those that have been doing this for 40 plus years have only seen this twice. Call it what you want. I'll claim it as prayers that were heard and granted.
Someone was scanned and found to have probably one of the worst possible scenerios be found. (Cancer all through the body.) They went in to biopsy, take out several organs, and assess a prognosis. What was seen on the report was seen by several of us, and explainable. It was not machinery or imaging mishaps. Symptoms were present to conclude that the report was correct.
That was last week. Today they are out of surgery with the main part of the biopsy being non-cancerous. Nothing else was taken out because NOTHING was seen. They are still looking, and nothing.
How bout that.
I'm not going to say that I know what God does. I do know what the Word says and I feel it was taken to heart and done. Call it what you like. I'll call it a miracle.

Will be added to my list of prayers for ppl with job/lack of job issues. The list is quite lengthy at the moment.
I really hope and pray that God moves in big ways for the positive for His people in 2011. The events of 2010 and their continuance make it hard to stay focused and faithful at times.

Praying for you and your family.. good on you for asking for prayer.. These verses helped me when I was worried and anxious about my baby son... GOD will take care of your dad.. and family.. it is hard to stand by and watch loved ones in pain.. sometimes we really cannot do a single thing.. but GOD hears your pain and will help even if it does not appear to be so.. rest in HIM and realize that HE hears your ever cry and he loves your family even more then you do..
6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7
