I think that is a faulty link (or Jesus doesn't want me to read that article).

When I say it it means I'm done praying.

“'Amen' means 'so be it' (CCC 2856) or 'I believe.'”

When we are about to receive the Eucharist (the body, blood, soul, and divinity of Christ), and we say "Amen," we are imitating the Blessed Virgin Mary's Amen ("...be it done to me according to thy word."), when she said yes to receiving Jesus in her womb.

Our priest made an announcement that we're not to use the term "I believe". We can only say "Amen" when receiving the host.

Same here. You cannot receive the host without saying Amen in my parish. It was drilled into me when I was asked to become an EMHC.

Some guy used to go up there and speak some sentence in another language. The priest stopped him and made him say "Amen".
