In my single years, I had made my own decisions and more importantly, take things up with God. The hardest thing for me was to wait on God once I was serious about God and following Him. I realized something very important early on in my walk with Jesus Christ, that He is sufficient for me. I found to be very content in my singleness with God alone. He's all I will ever need in this life and the next to come.
But He had other plans for me and now I am married to a godly man. One, I might add, that I tried looking for myself but could not find. God had to lead me to him and him to me.
God has made me to be very adjustable to life, meaning that if I move to another place that I am used to, I am not shaken by learning new things and new ways of doing things. He has made me much more at peace with what He has in mind.
What I have learned is that being married has gotten me closer to God than away from Him, despite what others have said on this site. Just because you're married does not mean you have less time for God, in fact it's the opposite! God is the centre of everything even when single.
I am reminded that I am not my own, that Jesus Christ has bought me from His blood and likewise I am my husband's like the Churchbride is Christ's. I cannot make decisions on my own like I could being single (with some things). Two flesh are made one as the Bible says and it's so true!
