  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Yeah, it's a bit ridiculous. Feeling the effects of this today. I am in the awkward position of having a family that is not yet Orthodox. Fasts, especially nativity, are a challenge of balancing what I want with what they want. A bit easier this year with all the restrictions in place, but I've found that the fasting cycle of the Church has had a great impact on my desire for food and eating habits.

Oh, yeah...uhhhhh, we finished building a retaining wall at my boss's house...well, actually, the post we put down today needs to dry and then we can put the last railroad tie in place. We did a dem fine job, it'll keep the pathway from sliding down the slope!

I made sawdust cutting down a tree. The one on the right is from a dull blade. The dust on the left is after I sharpened it. I thought it was interesting... Anyway

Niiiice, it's been a while since I've dropped a whole tree, though I have been cutting a bit of wood lately.

The top had broken out of this one. It was an easy cut. A month ago I dropped a 60' cedar. That was interesting.

That's out on the big road. We do let them put stop signs up at the end of the holler as a reminder to reflect on why you're leaving the holler in the first place. It has nothing to do with driving
