What has been the hardest year(s) of marriage?

I'll be married 6 years in March.

The last half of our 3rd year and first half of my 4th were probably the toughest. Our lives had revolved around my going to school, and with me finished, we had this time together that we didn't have before, so it was almost like starting the marriage all over again.

My 1st year was great. The 7th year was a nightmare. It has improved and now we are on year 11.

hmm, married 14 yrs now,I would say the first 5 were the pits for us. We were not believers and all we did was work,when we were around each other all we wanted to do was fight. God certainly has a way of changing you if you let Him.

I'd say the first year after your first kid is born.
