Hey David thanks for that. Yes and this is where we need to be as we wait for the coming of our Lord. Jesus says that prior to his second coming there will be many false teachings seeking to lead many away from God and his Word. I believe God's people are in every church but the hour is coming and now is that the true worshippers will worship God in Spirit and in truth. God is calling us out from following man made teachings and traditions back to the pure Word of God.Psalm 37 is a great Psalm, speaking of the promise of eternal life for the righteous, and the promise of eternal destruction for the wicked, which is the consistent theme throughout the whole of Scriptures.
King David was an annihilationist, just like the other Prophets.

Yes, but David didn't have the benefit of the revelation of the Father in the Son.
Thanks very much bbbbbbb. I will see how we go, if not something maybe for next time. Thanks for your advice though.

IS OUR SALVATION CONDITIONAL BEFORE THE 2ND COMING?
Thanks HARK! Now I am not quite sure what type of poll to add Zzz. For me it is not what the majority think but what God's Word says. Let me think about it though or if you have any suggestions let me know.

IS OUR SALVATION CONDITIONAL BEFORE THE 2ND COMING?
1.) Yes
2.) Nope. OSAS. We can live life like Satan is throwing a non-stop, buck wild, minion party at his place. Just say the magic words, and jump in the water.
If you frame the answers correctly; people will think about their responses; and you'll find unanimous agreement.
That's the problem. It is so simple to create strawmen of your opponents. For example, (this is a true story), I met a Christian once who lived in such dread of losing his salvation that he became completely mentally unbalanced and underwent electroshock treatments to help restore his sanity. Also, I had a great aunt who belonged to the SDA. One fine Saturday morning she lost track of the weekdays and got up and did her housework. When she discovered that she had done this on Saturday she became nearly suicidal, believing that her fate in the Lake of Fire had been determined.
In case 1, we are not to be obedient for our salvation. We are to be obedient out of love for YHWH.
In case 2, Yahshua has our unintentional sins covered. That is a role of the High Priest.
Both of these people needed a deeper understanding of scripture.
Now how do either of these anecdotes refute the fact that there are conditions on salvation?
Of course there are conditions on salvation. If there were not then salvation would be universal for all mankind. The difficulty comes in understanding the nature of the conditions. The conditions outlined in the Bible are as follow:
1. The person and work of Jesus Christ. This is the absolute bedrock of salvation. Apart from Jesus Christ there is no salvation.
2. God's grace extended to His people through the person and work of Jesus Christ. Apart from the grace of God there is no salvation.
Is that it? Is that the entire outline of all of the conditions?
Transgressors of what?
What's iniquity?
What are sinners?
This sounds awfully legalistic.
There's that word again.
Those are the two conditions upon which all Christians agree. As for others, some folks add one or two and other have virtually endless lists of conditions. How many do you have?
Are you playing devils advocate for possible novices or do you not know what is being written in the word.
I wasn't the one who attempted to outline them.
How does this verse fit into your model?:
(CLV) Mt 5:20
For I am saying to you that, if ever your righteousness should not be superabounding more than that of the scribes and Pharisees, by no means may you be entering into the kingdom of the heavens.
...or does it?
This is what as known as hyperbole, a very common means of expressing a truth.
I don't even play the devil's advocate.
Are you suggesting that the scripture is of the devil?
I was calling for LoveGodsWord to further explain and define the scripture.
To what purpose as to the OP?
To try to trip up LoveGods Word?
Hyperbole is exaggeration. Exaggeration of the truth, deviates from the truth. Yahshua is the truth. He doesn't exaggerate.
