Well said dudes! I agree.
Just a few things I'd like to add (although it never ends up to be just a few).
I understand the questioning here. I have been there before, all these things has us sometimes wondering why, since were told He is there, that God what stand back and not interfere.
Well two things I've learned. One, God is there, and He is actively protecting us from what we really need protection from.
Think of it like this. If a parent has a child which is deathly alergic to bees, would the parent not do everything in his/her power to keep bees away from the child? So the child may not ever see bees anywhere, but that is because the parent is protecting the child in ways that can't be seen. This protecting may cause other pains, like feeling left out of activities other children can do, feeling different or alienated, I mean you've gotta keep those blasted epi-pens with you always. Ok anyway....
See the similarity, God is protecting us in ways we can't even comprehend let alone understand.
Isaiah 55:9 "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Second thing, is that despite all this the enemy is also working. He is trying to skew our view of how we see God.
Like our friends, as kids, I'm sure everyone remembers this, sitting around talking about how our parents did this or that and it's just such a drag that they all conspire against us to destroy happiness in kids, or just simply do not understand.
Well the enemy tries to use our small view of life to convince us to go against God in some way.
Believe me these weren't things I learned easily, but at some point you just have to exercise faith, even when nothing make since and your head is screaming "this wrong, all this stuff shouldn't be happening" you need to make a choice to believe that God is there for you and will make it better.
Hosea 6:1 "Come, let us return to the LORD. He has torn us to pieces but he will heal us; he has injured us but he will bind up our wounds. 2 After two days he will revive us; on the third day he will restore us, that we may live in his presence. 3 Let us acknowledge the LORD; let us press on to acknowledge him. As surely as the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth."
And yes sometimes everything that happens to us seems to much for us, but that's because it is. God doesn't expect us to handle these things by ouselves, were are to rely on Him foremost but also on other members of the Body of Christ. Could a hand do anything without the wrist? If your wrist is broken, isn't your hand in a cast as well?
1Corinthians 12:26 If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.
Ok enough preaching out of me
