the law was temporary, UNTIL the date set by the father, gal 4:2, UNTIL christ, gal, 3:19..no longer under a tutor, 3;25
until...that is a chronolgical word.
got shrimp? the word says no shrimp...
That is where your theological wheels came off the track frogster.
The Law, The Word of God became FLESH.
The Word Is PERMANENT.
You don't know your Word. That's all there is to it.
s
u did not refute the text, UNTIL...UNTIL....and u say we have to keep the word, but you said you do not listen to food laws, and u don;t keep feasts either, totally confused
abolished, 2;15 of eph, in that very flesh u posted..search it, see where it says it was abolished. Was the Word eliminated OR
Did The Word become FLESH?
Your sole intent is elimination. That will never compute.
Romans 8:3
For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
There was AMPLIFICATION, not ELIMINATION.
s
abolished, 2;15 of eph, in that very flesh u posted..
the word says no shrimp, yes or no, can i eat shrimp?
Your petty notions about 'what the Law is and sez' are merely that. The food laws are vastly more interesting than just food. But when you force filter you won't see anything else by Divine Design. A man who sees the law carnally will understand the law carnally. There is nothing they can really do about it either. They are locked and loaded into a carnal mindset by Divine Decree.
This is how the chiseled Word on stone CHANGED:
John 1:14
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
Abolished you say?
Yes, exactly to LIVING WORD.
When the Old Testament said this:
Isaiah 42:21
The Lord is well pleased for his righteousness' sake; he will magnify the law, and make it honourable.
Can you see that was DONE in CHRIST?
Apparently NOT.
Denial of The Word is not an option to [legitimate] Christians.
s
can i eat a shrimp the word says not to?
God is a book?
it's called the book of the law in several passages.
u did not cover that the law was abolished in his flesh part.
can i eat a shrimp the word says not to?
Its not the eating of shrimp that defiles a man, its what he has to say about shrimp that defiles him.
We are redeemed to eat shrimp??? The real issue is that gnats are now kosher but camels are definitely still off the menue.
Jesus did NOT teach that about 'those Laws.'
Matthew 15:11
Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man-
The only place you and I depart is on the ground of poor allegorical and parable skills from your end.
There really are other ways to see SPIRITUAL LAW if one takes of their MEAT glasses. But meat glasses are fastened to the side of the head with anti-spiritual screws that are quite problematic to remove.
s
tell me, who wrote the law? and if the law was spoken, where did it come out of?
book of the law? was it called books or book? the book of life is one book.
So then, let's party!!Its not the eating of shrimp that defiles a man, its what he has to say about shrimp that defiles him.
We are redeemed to eat shrimp??? The real issue is that gnats are now kosher but camels are definitely still off the menue.
i don't see a rebuttal to abolished in his flesh, u raised his body/flesh in your post, binding law.
depending on the context the biblical word "law" indicates two things:
- the Holy Law of (the) faith
and
- the human religion as a whole
Blessings
Again if you 'bothered' to read it was the 'carnal' ordinance that was done away.
Hebrews 9:10 Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.
Does that mean that's all that was contained in the carnal ordinances?
No.
Any christian nitwit can read in the N.T. that the Law also contains shadows and 'good things to come.' That's also why we don't toss it and neither did the other Apostles.
You just bought a low grade version of the matters from somebody along the trail and you think it's a great camping spot. I don't.
Eat all the shrimp you want. It was never the issue to begin with.
There is a world of allegory and there is a world of carnality.
The two will never meet.
s
we are talking eph 2;15, it says THE law, the law was one, and we were dead in those trespasses, contextually.
John 1:14
And the Word was made flesh,
yes let us all proceed to DENY The Word at the admonishment of frogster?
lol
and we all saw just how well all the religious leaders understood the Word made flesh!
They could not. God Himself blinded them and did not give them a heart to see or perceive. The very last thing on my mind is to blame any of them when it was Divinely Purposed.so much for them thinking they knew the law, the vail over their heart did not permit them to see the truth.
Moses died in the desert because of UNbelief.but the prophets knew Christ and Moses knew Christ.
Don't you find it pretty incredible that how many ever thousands or even millions by some estimates came out of Egypt by the Direct Hand of God and yet ALL of them over the age of 20 died in the desert from UNbelief except TWO!!!however it was hidden from most people,
If Jesus wanted to He could strike every last one of us down just like He did with Paul and voila, EVERYONE would believe.and when Jesus came, it was manifest to many more people than it had been, because Jesus is awesome. the religious leaders kill the prophets and build their tombs. woe are they for they do not enter the kingdom of God and refuse to let others enter, their vain blindness make God into a lamb with a dragons voice.
Jesus' Own Disciples were sent out as sheep in wolves cloth.wicked wolves in sheeps clothing! being blind and leading others to their pit. woe to them, for they exalted themselves as wise, though they had evil hearts and love money and they desire the respect from men rather than God. they murdered Christ because they don't know God.
It's perhaps quite a bit more interesting.if only they would have kept the passover feast, then they would have gotten rid of all their wicked leaven.
