What EXACTLY do Methodists believe?

I'm a christian, just don't quite get it about what makes Methodists so different? So, what do they believe?

Not much difference that I know of, either. I have heard accusations of liberalism, but I have only met really nice hard working people.

You might want to check out www.umc.org. This is the offical UMC web site. This is the page for the statement of belief http://www.umc.org/abouttheumc/beliefs/. The UMC church runs the gamut from liberal to conservative. The UMC Church I attend is very conservative and evangelical in belief. Every Church is different.

The UMC I attend is also conservative and evangelical, but I've felt more at "home" there than anywhere else.
And I was kinda raised Catholic, and even attended Baptist church for a little bit.

But that's just me.

There are, or at least were, also, believe it or not, Calvinistic Methodists... George Whitefield and Martyn Llody Jones are, I think, 2 of the best known, just do a google search for their names and you will get quite a bit of information..... one in particular you might read is Jones dealing historically with Calvinistic Methodist preachers and beliefs... it is at
