"Please note if Jonah was in "hell," as the KJV has it, then Jonah escaped from a place where, according to modern theologians, there is no escape."
Bible Translations That Do Not Teach Eternal Torment
Amen Jason, and thank you for fighting the good fight, and knowing your Bible stuff.
God bless you.
You are most welcome;
And thank you for the blessing.
May the Lord bless you even more.
So you admit that your view isn’t based upon fact, but just what you believe. Such as...
“I believe God preserved His Word perfectly in 4 languages through out history.
1. Hebrew.
2. Greek.
3. Latin (Not the Catholic Latin Vulgate).
4. English.”
There’s no support for this.
You have a conclusion, and then you’ve found “evidence” to support it. That’s the opposite way of going about it.
I personally don’t mind the KJV. So hopefully my posts don’t come across as such. I do, however, have an issue with those who teach that it’s the only acceptable translation. That’s false teaching and should be fought against.Keep on keepin' on my brother. There is a full-fledged attack on the KJV. May God strengthen and sustain you and bless you as you keep on speaking the truth.

So far you’ve ignored my arguments. I get it.You can read the Latin Bible alongside the KJV.

As for the Hebrew and Greek:
Are you saying Moses, David, and other OT saints made mistakes in writing Scripture? Are you saying Luke, Paul, Peter made mistakes in writing Scripture?
As for the KJV in English:
All you have to do is a fruits test to see that this book is divine in origin.
Anyone who says that you should only read the KJV, or that you should never read it, are wrong. That's good to know that you don't "mind" the KJV. I don't personally care what someone else reads. However that's where my "neutrality" stops. I do not appreciate nor invite anyone "correcting" me or deriding me AND the KJV for DARING to read it.
Thank you kindly.

Thanks for agreeing that the modern translations are acceptable. That goes a long way.And I believe it is just as equally a false teaching to not believe the KJV 1769 is God’s pure Word for today (But it is not a salvation issue). I have debated this topic more times than I care to count over the years.
It isn’t anyone’s business. Neither should it be anyone’s business if someone reads the NASB only.Who cares if someone reads "just" the KJV? Whose business is it?
I find it a bit strange and an indication of someone not able to "stay in their lane".

I agree.LOL! I agree with that, however, someone reading the NASB only might want to stay in their lane and not attack others for having the "audacity" to read the KJV.
I agree.
So far you’ve ignored my arguments. I get it.
But to address your points, reading the Latin and KJV side by side only confirms that they agree. It says nothing about the accuracy of the Latin. So you’ve affirmed what I said when I stated that you’ve drawn a conclusion and then found evidence to support it.
As to the second part of your post, you are implying arguments that I’ve not made.
Your argument is circular. And unsubstantiated. My conclusions are based on the Word of God. If God’s Word is perfect as it says and it exists for all generations like it says, then logic dictates that it exists in perfect form for us today. For heaven and earth shall pass away but his Words will not pass away. The KJV is the only Bible claimed to be perfect by believers and it has changed lives unlike any other Bible.
What errors do you think exist within the KJV?
Please see my other CF thread here on answers to various supposed contradictions in the KJV.
I have a few more answers to supposed contradictions for the KJV I would like to add later.
