God will by no means acquit those who are guilty, but will punish those concerned along with 3 to 4 generations of their descendants - This is according to Exodus 20:5 and Numbers 14:18.

These verses must be evaluated with this

Ezekiel 18:20 (KJV)

[20] The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

Sin itself has the fruit of confusion and death and thus the 3rd to 4th generation can see the error of this increasing within descendants... living in sin reaps misery!
