hmm I knew better then to participate in this thread, clearly you are here with a chip on your shoulder not looking for an actual answer but just to pick a fight.
Of course you can try not to sin without getting "saved" but it is worthless if you have rejected God's grace and God's plan of redemption. The point of being saved is to be reconciled with God, stopping your sin only gives you a clean slate from that point out (until you inevitably sin again) it doesn't clear your slate of prior offenses, which was why christ took our punishment. is that fair to blame Jesus and let him take the fall, darn tootin it isn't fair, that's why it proves God is love he offered it even though we didn't deserve it.
