If you check the context and wording of Jhn 15:1-11 ….it is all conditional on abiding in Him …. or not abiding in Him.
In the Epistles (after Pentecost) it is only conditional based on our acceptance of Christ which God accepted on our behalf….and it’s permanent.
I certainly agree with you that it was conditional on enduring to the end, compared to now.
The point I was making is that people were in Christ, before Paul.
Hence being in Christ was not "only used in regards to the period of the administration (dispensation) of grace"
