  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hindusism is in crisis, about to end because of the spreading of Christianity around the world. It doesn't matter how old a religion is, what matters is how long a religion is going to provide fruits.

The western democracies are rooted in Christianity, because it was Christianity that influenced the European philosophers 200 years ago.

Japan has the secularism, because it was brought there by the West, which has been tremendously influenced by Christianity. Japan is that much secular because its spiritual confusion; the Japanese don't know what to believe in, as their religions are dying off.

Latin America has been a vassal of the western interests, the same interests having their origin in secularity.

Secularism was the direct product of the ''dark ages'' as you call it, which weren't so dark after all, as new research shows.

The church has never been kicked out of politics; there are numerous political parties in Europe which have been founded on Christian principles, and you know it, but are silent about it.

Oh boy...someone needs a history lesson...

Many have believe that anti-theist and atheist is one of the same, but there is some different between the two.
1. Atheist is define as a belief in no God.
2. Anti-theist is define as against and hostile to any faith group, who trust in the God of heaven (JESUS).
3. "All anti-theists are atheists, but not all atheists are anti-theists."

I hope this help.
God Bless......

Hmmm...not sure about your #3. There are people who believe in god who are strongly against organised religion...?

1 and 2 are incorrect, but 3 is correct. Take that back, none are correct.

Atheists is just a shortened word for Anti-Theist..

So they are the same in truth..

But i would say an athiest would elongate the word and declare themselves Anti-Theist to indicate they are hostile towards religious people and will get agressive towards Theists when they cross paths with one..
'Anti' means against and the prefix 'a' means without so antitheist means against-theist or against-theism whereas a-theism simply means without-theism.

At best, someone who wastes time hating on a God who he doesn't believe exists.
Actually an anti-theist would be someone who spends their time hating on theists, or believers in God. They don't have to believe in God themselves to dislike his very real followers.

3. "All anti-theists are atheists, but not all atheists are anti-theists."
This last point isn't true. There are people who believe in God who are clearly anti-theist. I would put ISIS nuts in that camp.

And considering how some thiests act there is cause to be anti-theist. At times it becomes difficult to not paint with a broad brush.

Anti-theist Atheists are IMO closet misotheists who are likely unaware of what they believe in or just completely unintelligent enough to understand themselves.

They claim to not believe in god yet waste all their energy going around god threads or even random youtube channels just to bible bash and rehash random "science" articles that they read around the web and just politic it like some random crazy/scamming street preacher. For example, a facebook post has like a small "non-religiousy" joke that contains the word "god" and then you see a bunch of idiots go "god doesn't exist". That is an anti-theist Atheist. They (and just atheism in general) are loaded with logical hypocrisy end they end up shelling up with giving random excuses and word play behind the "real" definition of atheism whenever they are getting logically destroyed. They are more annoying or at the same level of annoyance as a funde theist.

I am honest to myself and admit that i am more of a Misotheist. I can't put that on my profile due to it's limitations but i do believe in a god but have a very low opinion of him or atleast the most accept view of him (all good, prayer type, will do his will in your life so that he can be glorified type).

I disagree with 1.

Atheism CAN mean someone who believes there is no god(s), but it can also mean someone who just has an absence of belief in god(s).

One is a positive claim: X cannot exist

One is a response to a claim: I don't believe your claim X exists.

This word Atheist means: A=No and Theist=GOD.
Therefore, an Atheist is define as: No belief in GOD. PSALM 14:1

Just want to clarify the point.

'No belief in God' is not the same as 'Belief there is no god(s)'.

It's a lack of belief, not a belief in a lack. It may seem like a pointless semantic quibble, but from a point of discussion, certainty and philosophy it is a very important distinction.

Basically, I'm not buying what you're selling, but I'm not trying to sell you anything myself.
