Hello All!
First of all I'll introduce myself.
David from israel, 27 years old. I love historya dn specially religious history. and i was lucky enought to come to israel at age of 10 with my family. I go often to Jerusalem, and in the near future i begin to study the professional of internation tour guide. Hopefully the next step will be Israel tour guide, which is very hard course that lasts around 2 years.

Meanwhile, i can lead groups up to 5-6 people without license, without fear to get a bill from Ministy is Turism of israel. I post a lot in russian and israeli forumsa about turism and lately- like last 4-5 years I'm very interested in religious turism. REad alot about Jesus and His life, and last week was my first tryout- a pair of turists husband and wife were coming to Jeruisalem from Russia and they asked for my guidnance inside the old city. We walked all over the Holy Christian sites: we went all the Via Doloroza, saw every stone and every bit in the Church of Holy Sepulchre and the Wailing Wall, Alexander Nevsku church... they very enjoyed so do I. i love jerusakem. because i'm a jew and this is our capital. second becuse of its historic heritage and meaning to all people of the world.

I began writig an publishing my tour memories in russian forums and i want to try the same here in Englis Christian forum, hope that i will succseed.

Right now I'm working on a essay about Church of Holy Sepulchre, a place that is the most thrill to visit. A place that I each time i enter there i feel like my legs can't walk. very hole, very prayed place. a place where you can feel the weight of a history lies down on your shoulders and stayes there for a long time even after you left Jerusalem. an artice that i will write will be combined from my personal knowledge about this place, data from encyclopadias. and lots and lots of other things that i can write from my memory that everything i need specially from the places I've been, mixed up with personal feelings, added a lotte spicy tourists inpressions... its going to be reslly one of my biggestt things..

I used to write a lot of fiction...mostly slice-of-life stuff with the oddball bit of fantasy thrown in once in a while.

Now I work mostly on scripts and screenplays...mainly film, but sometimes toying with ideas for different television series.

I've been trying to get some sort of random idea to get back into writing fiction again. I have almost always written in third person semi-omniscient, mainly because my stories tend to have more than one character in the spotlight. :)

Never been published. I guess I would like to have books published, but for screenplays I'd want to make it myself.

I'm writing the story of someone who was miraculously healed of multiple personalities (just one extra one). It has been a very long work in progress, but the good thing is that I have already been told that it will sell when I'm ready to put it out there – but I'm not ready yet. The more I learn about writing, the more I realize that sections of my book would be far more effective if rewritten. (The better written the story, the longer it's shelf life in the book stores.) So, I just keep plugging away at it.

I am content to trust in the Lord's perfect timing for it to go to print.

Janet

It sounds like an interesting story.

It sounds like you're in a perpetual draft mode, which is something I get into from time to time.

There's nothing wrong with editing and re-editing, in my opinion, as long as it ends at some point.

My name is Stephanie,

Now a days I tend to write when the inspiration takes hold of me. Currently facing some fierce writer's block, but in the Lord's proper timing, the doors will open :)

I usually write poetry, attempt songs, and have sought to write stories but have always come short and brought it back to scrap for re-drafting. Though I am playing with some ideas already. Hopefully the Lord will bless on them, if it is His Will.

We'll see. I'm very curious to know where all the writers here publish their material, whether on a site like FictionPress?

Never heard of FictionPress, but I guess I never really thought of posting my work on the internet (although I did have a blog at one point in time).

Interesting idea, though. Is there anyone here who has a blog of their writing or anyone who posts on a site like Cephar suggested? Or do you prefer to be part of a writing group that meets together face to face? Or is there another way that you show your writing and get feedback?

I like writing fantasy, but I've never finished a book despite all my ideas. I'm currently working on one for which I'm creating a world that I can best describe as Tolkien-ish or C.S. Lewis-ish. I plan to make a series of some sort, but I've got to get the first one done. I just started a longer short story as well, but it was more out of leisure. I don't see it getting done any time soon.

My passion is for writing contemporary Christian fiction novels, and my goal is to be a traditionally published author. Any of you have tried or done this know how difficult it is, especially now that the economy has taken its toll on the publishing industry.

Get a website at "Weebly" or "Word Press". I have a site that I had to pay a couple hundred dollars for but the cost per month is only $4.50! (You can even start for FREE!)

You don't need a publisher to get started. If you have a website you can take a word document and convert it to a PDF using "The Cute PDF Writer" (Google for FREE download) and then sell this from your site through PayPal as an "e-book".

Take a look at my site and remember it is only costing me $4.50 a month! I can put anything I want on it!

My name is Bill(suprise huh?)
My pen name is Severin, From my SCA name.

I wrote at times in my past, but the one thing that pushed me into writing was my typing skill wasn't fast enough for a job I applied for.
I decided to practice, and when I started typing I couldn't stop.
I have 8 stories in the works(in just over a year.)
I have written one drama thriller, and the rest are fantasy.(Swords and sorcery)

The drama thriller is mostly complete, and that has led me to look into publishing, not sure I am good enough, but why not. I don't write for profit, I write for my enjoyment, but if its profitable....

My name's Cal (Johnnybabe's just a random screenname I chose out of the blue that I thought was unlikely to have been taken), and I write short stories in the sci-fi and fantasy genres--mainly sci-fi. I've not been published as of yet.
