  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

What do you think?

Which seems better?

  • Double major in Bible and in History; get to take band; 3 years before graduation.

  • Major in Bible and Minor in History; no band; 2 years before graduation.

So I'm going to transfer to a college to start work towards a bachelors degree in the fall... but I'm not sure what to do. What do you think?

Option 1:
Double Major in Christian Studies with Biblical Languages emphasis, and in History.
Also possibly take concert band each semester, and maybe some other small electives.
It would take 3 years.

Option 2:
Major in Christian studies with biblical languages emphasis, and minor in history.
No time for band, probably. Less room for electives.
It would take 2 years.

I asked my mom and she said i should do the one where I get to do band and stuff... I'm leaning toward that one I guess... but I'm still going to consider everything.

I'm actually not sure what I'm going to do after college. :) I have many options of what to do really... but I'm not absolutely certain and with a plan.
I do want to be a missionary.. but we will see. :)

I would take the 3 years with band and double major. A double major lookes better than major-minor, band is a lot of fun, you only have one life to live and two years in college is far too short. You will probably have the time of your life! Might as well have three years of wonderful than only two.

Actually.. I've been in college for 4 years already.. but that was just community colleges for Associates degrees. I'm graduating this June from that. Then I'm transferring to get Bachelors degrees.. and that's what this question is about.
