What do you think the Mark of the Beast is?? And what is sin about it?

I have established the fact that many or most SDAs believe that all except 7th day worshipers will have the Mark of the Beast. Those who worship on Sunday don't claim they are the only ones who won't have the Mark of the Beast. So it really doesn't matter what any of us thinks it is. You already know that the rest of us disagree with you. The Bible doesn't say that Protestants will receive the Mark. It says that His sheep will be saved.

There you "do show" what someone else other than you thinks the mark of the beast is.

But you do not include the caveat that Adventists themselves attend church on Sunday for worship services when engaged in things like "Ten days of prayer" and "evangelistic programs" and are on record as saying they do not regard those who go to church on Sunday as having the mark of the beast.

Not all SDAs agree with Ellen G. White that the Mark of the Beast is for Sunday Worshipers. I'm aware of that. Because you are asking the question, what do you think it is?

Nor does the bible say it is a sin for someone to know you are a Christian

For one. I don't think it's like a serial number on someones forehead or a microchip on someones wrist as to what popular media portrayed it. It's hard to determine the stuff in revelations... especially now when the debate of it being the end of the world or just something about the era of Nero is split.

If anything, it's probably just people who fell under the influence of the evil stuff being promoted through media. That's the only rational thing i can think of.. at the end, these things are something we don't know and it's almost a waste of time to find answers for.

Right, I tend to focus on problems that are directly in front of me. But then I also think being able to foresee problems approaching is also wise?

In Ephesians 2, it is written that all people are "under the influence of the evil " one, (not stuff, the evil one), the prince of the power of the air.
Only when redeemed,
only the elect, escape, as only because God saved for Himself a remnant is anyone still alive.
Most willingly remain on the wide road to destruction, in religion and out of religion doesn't matter.

A quick note. Im sure this was not your intention. But i do find it strange when some people post topics and say 'Hint'. It makes it sound as if the author knows the right answer from the back of the book, and everyone else is wrong.

To address your main point ... Let me say it this way. Are you aware of what is happening in China? These days, all their citizens are in a computer, and each citizen is given a Social Rating. Your social rating is determined partly by your credit, and whether you have a good job. It will also hit rock bottom if you are unemployed, or if you commit a crime - even a minor one. But your Social Rating is also influenced by your actions in society, and your Internet behavior. If you visit sites the Govt does not like, your rating goes down. Criticize influential politicians ... you are sunk. Probe corruption, accuse officials of bribes ... they will pull the plug on your rating.

So what?

If you have a bad rating, you cannot buy anything. You are locked out. You cannot make major online purchases, you cannot even buy a train ticket. You cannot go anywhere or do anything. Why? Because in China the Govt controls the Internet, and the Internet controls everything.

(BTW ... now it should be clear why the battle for a Free Internet is so important!).

So the Government controls every tiny aspect of peoples' lives.

That system is up-and-running in China today. Up and running - TODAY. Is the USA much further behind?? ... not really. Try to figure out how much info Microsoft, Google and Amazon are storing about you. A whole lot more than most people think.

So what is the problem with 666?
Or whatever system they implement?
Go to church ... you are a 'bad' person, talk about Jesus, you are a 'bad' person. Then you are locked out of everything. You are a bum. So what's the choice? Buy things from online stores and drive a car, or profess God to the world.

EITHER .. OR.

You see, with problems such as the end of the world based on Revelations we just don't know exactly if the scripture is literally accurate or not.. and even if it is, we all know the very end results so why bother? It's not like you can prevent any of that.

Lots of chickens and eggs then? That' what my mom does, she's disabled and raises chickens for her food diet. That's her staple. Sure she eats regular food too though.

I would rather not know about my upcoming demise unless there is something I can do about it really.

It's like surgery, if you know about it then it really hurts. I had two surgeries and didn't know what to expect and boy am I glad cause they really hurt. I know this lady that had to get two eye surgeries and the first one hurt, so she knew what the next one was going to feel like. She said she needed time to build up the courage to get the second operation. They only did one eye at a time for safety sake.

It's hard to enjoy life if you're always worried about some upcoming painful experience I think.

I did not say that it was a sin. At least I do not think I did. But the more I think about it, YES it is a sin AT THAT TIME.

AT THAT TIME it will be an identification NUMBER of some kind that only the people who reject Christ will take. SINCE that have chosen the A/C over the Lord Jesus Christ then it will be SIN for them by their choice.

Now you may be able to ignore what Scripture says but I can not and the Scriptures actualy say,...………..Rev. 13:16-19.....
"And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. 18Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six."

BIBLE DETAILS MATTER my friend!!!

Some kind of MARK/NUMBER will be placed on the SKIN of those who follow and choose the A/C during the last days, 7 years before the 2nd Coming of Christ.

IF they do not have the NUMBER/MARK they will not be able to but food and water hence death by starvation.

It really isn't brainn surgery!

only righteousness, peace (in all circumstances), and joy (no one can take).

But take a life? And your life would be required of you.
Sin without repenting ? Then cast out.

Better to abide in Jesus, and His Word abide in you, then ask what you will and it will be granted you. (realize a new mind in Christ , we have, does not ask for things, for anything, evil or sinful or opposed to God nor outside His Will for us)

Since both versions (of the Bible) have his complete name as an alternative, his identity will be, literally, spelled out...! The "number of his name" option will only serve as a means of confirmation (to us). (In programming, that is known as a checksum.)

Unless the "number" precedes his spelt-out name, the latter should be evidence enough, by itself.

BTW, 666 in Roman numerals is DCLXVI.
