Ok Mankin honey--if us voting will make you feel better--I certainly will vote in your poll this time. I hated to see your feelings hurt so badly over the last one.

I vote for a total split. With only ONE forum displaying the Official Seventh-day Adventist heading.

If it was an "official" SDA heading would not it have to be something done officially by the leadership of the Conference or Union. I don't recall seeing any official SDA forum anywhere on the internet. They certainly have the capability to do that but they have never done it. Probably the closet there is is ssnet, Though still not official it is a heavily moderated email list dealing with the lesson study.

In short you can't claim to be an official SDA group unless you are official sponsored or directed by the official church.

RC--I was referring to the straight name of Seventh-day Adventist. In other words, no "Traditional or Progressives" before it.

At least 4 votes that I saw were invalid, but even without those the result appears to be the same..

I think it's interesting to see how the vote is going without the influx from other forums coming in.

I'm sure we would have had a legitimate split if it hadn't been for that. However, I could be wrong about that. Tomorrow will tell if no one does a mass recruiting again.

If you have as a part of your title Seventh Day Adventist, at some point the official church will contact you and ask you to apply to use their name or to stop using it based on their trademark ownership. Currently BSDA is in ongoing discussions with the church's attorneys about using Seventh Day Adventist in their name. As far as I know there is only one forum that has gotten permission or had permission to use Seventh Day Adventist and it was /is Maritime, run by Daryl.

The church takes quite seriously how its name is used, so I hope people here realize that. In fact if this little sub-forum of CF were to come to their attention, the webowner would probably be contacted and told to change the names of it.

Thanks. May I ask what do you mean by a forum with an official Adventist heading? Do you mean an official forums for both groups of Adventists?
