  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Come up to the highlands - snow can easily remain until the depth of summer. Even on very warm years you can find a few large snow patches at the summit of Ben Nevis - there is something about going for a walk on a warm sunny day and having a roll about in a snow patch too.
I did come to the Highlands about 19 years ago, and it was beautiful! I live in a bustling city....the snow here tuns to grey slush within about 6 hours :D

God bless.

Thats a really good photo you have there. If you want some helpful hints (from my poiint of view, others might disagree) then maybe more a bit more to the right so that the fence leads into the middle of the picture. It's really difficult though, as you want to keep those geogeous colours in as well. I've spend way to much time examining my mum's pictures, as she sends them to a photo library, so I'm ultra critical, so don't pay too much heed to me, :D

I think the camera should be more focused on the red leaves rather than on the fense posts. It maybe interesting to experment around focusing on different things to see what comes out looking the best.

Hi Jer!
I had to crop out a road side on the right side. Somebody else had the same suggestion so it shows you have a good eye.
Hello right back at you!

Ah! The usual problem! Something man-made in the way. Pity about that.

There's a way you can get a focus on both the leaves and the fence, I can't remember it's name exactly, hyperfocus or something like that. You'd need a SLR to do it, not sure if you have it. Also it's quite difficult to inderstand, at least for me, :p
