In heaven we will have free will. Why doesn't it is possible to fall?

Our old sinful selves, the ones we struggle against now as we strive to live out the victorious Christian life, will finally and forever be done away with.

That is a great question. In Paradise, God is a reality that is accepted. Insanity is eliminated. I would think. My opinion.

because our will will be perfectly aligned with God's Will by grace, so that our will, while free, will no longer be gnomic. we will freely only will the good as God does.

Do not angels who fall from heaven have perfected hearts too?

Satan and the fallen angels started out in heaven and had free will ... they made their choice and chose their will over Gods will. We starting out on earth have free will and make our choice as well and choose either our own will or Gods will.

Both have/had the same choice ... Gods will ... or ... not.

God Bless.

You will be filled with the Holy Spirit of God and if that is the case you will not desire to do anything evil. Your heart will only desire good.

Free will is an evil will. Because we cannot be independent on God's will and remain good.

We will not have free will in heaven, we will have only one head - Christ.

that's not correct. because God is totally free including His Will. to say that free will is evil would be saying His Will is evil.

also, the fact that God graces us with freedom is good, because goodness cannot be coerced or forced.

God is good. If you are free of Him, you are evil. There is no other logical conclusion. Our will must be enslaved by God to be good. Any human inclination from God is an evil inclination.

yes, but that doesn't mean our will is not free. your point about goodness is correct, however your conclusion that means the will isn't free is not.

Will we have free will in heaven. Lucifer had free will in heaven and was perfect in all his ways until something went terribly wrong causing many other angels to rebel and follow suit. Father Adam was also perfect in all his ways and had free will to name all the animals and also the rightful heir to this earth . Mother Eve was also perfect in all her ways being the perfect help mate for Adam. One of perfect beauty and love that Adam could look apon with admiration every day. But through the serpents subiliety their free will was also used in rebellion against God. One could reflect on Calvin’s readings of Genesis. We had perfection we had paradise. We had everything we wanted. We had God. Yet we had the audacity to use our free will in rebellion against God. But even that does fall short as many writers have mentioned here about the first rebellion that took place in heaven. Both manifestations were the same. I shall be like the most high and Ye shall be as gods. Is it free will or is desire that caused everthing to happen the way it did. As they do seem to be interconnected. Maybe that needs to be looked at in depth too. Desire . What’s more I’m rather at a loss as I ponder what other writers have said here about the first rebellion. It was in heaven itself . Gods heavenly abode . Perfection. In the resurrection we shall once more be in a state of perfection and bliss. But what is to stop that perfection from being shattered once again if we have free will as before ? Will there be free will in heaven. There was once with Lucifer. It’s not clear in my mind either way.

I think we will be spending most of our time in heaven going to "church" and worshiping God, and our free will, not contaminated by sin will desire only the worship him.

There was a spiritual fall before Eden and the subsequent fall of mankind. Angels then do not have perfected hearts. It is recorded that we will judge angels. Anything that requires judgement is not perfected.

Blessings,

Carl Emerson.

In a real sense all of Gods creation is bound and restricted by their nature .
A rock can not walk, a dog can not speak to you.. man can not fly or violate Gods law of gravity. Mans corrupted nature sins. I think we need to consider what our nature will be in heaven.

Because we'll once again be in total harmony with ourselves aswell as God as we were in Eden, but different from them is that we now know the difference between good and evil.

That was the whole point in the garden. We didnt know about good and evil and got tempted by Satan to embrace evil under a false pretense. Now we know how horrible it truely is and thus well realise that God is our only good and our only way of happiness and joy.
