Then please, instruct me, what do those Scriptures teach? I would also appreciate if you would at least reference your Biblical claims, even if you don't quote them.Masturbation isn't listed as "against the Spirit."
However, making rules like "eat not, touch not" IS mentioned, and it's very much contrary to the gospel and to life in the Spirit.
I pray for you, floatingaxe.
Is this thread straight out of the Dark Ages?
What obscure part of Christianity teaches masturbation is a sin these day?
What do you mean, "these days"?? Sin is always sin from Adam to the present. It never changes because God never changes.
Yes it is a sin. But I suppose it is based on the spiritual depth of a peson to recognize it. Grow a little in Christ and you will discover that it is a sin against Him, yourself and your spouse.Yeah but masturbation isn't a sin. It's a sin in the same way walking is a sin or riding a bicycle.

Yep, your husband certainly never touches himself. And neither do any of the righteous Christian men you know. Definitely. Somehow, every Christian man you know managed to escape the 98% of men who touch. There's no way you're simply deluded into believing this.Don't pray for me. I've got an honourable and righteous man. I will pray for your wife, if you have one.
Masturbation is a natural release, it is health for us both physically and mentally. I see absolutely nothing wrong with it.

Many Christian couples share this act as part of the loving relationship.
Some must, I am sure, but the majority of the men I know (and I know hundreds) are extremely Godly men who would not succumb to such temptation...
You are describing sex between a husband and wife. What goes on there is absolutely sanctioned by God. We are discussing self-sex, which is not. A married man who does that is committing adultery.
committing adultery
You know, I've avoided this conclusion until now, because I'd really like to avoid giving you this particular label, but your beliefs appear to have crossed the line from reasonable disagreement to outright insanity. You just called masturbation adultery. Really, just call it murder and be done with it.You are describing sex between a husband and wife. What goes on there is absolutely sanctioned by God. We are discussing self-sex, which is not. A married man who does that is committing adultery.
Oh, yes, there's no way they're lying to you. There's certainly no reason that they'd tell you they don't touch and then go home and do it. Because they're Godly men. Righteous Godly men. And that automatically throws them into that less-than-2% group or men who don't touch. Some must, I am sure, but the majority of the men I know (and I know hundreds) are extremely Godly men who would not succumb to such temptation, and if they had such temptation, they agree with the scriptures about it.

A proper understanding of the OT would lead you to the understanding that the unclean acts described make you ceremonially unclean, not spiritually or morally. I mean, geez, menstruation is described as unclean too.well. . . . that kind of behavior. . . . makes someone uncleen in the OT, and aftwards they had to burn whatever was. . . contaminated.
What, Jesus masturbating? I'm not sure if he did or not, but it really wouldn't bother me. Why does it disturb you?ask yourselves this: does it absolutely turn your stomach inside out add a few kicks to the forhead too, to think of Jesus. . . . .i can't even type it, but you get the implication.
