What do you like watching the most?

I love watching butterflies flutter about gracefully in the air.

I also enjoy watching & hearing the downpour of rain & thunder.

I also viewing the outdoors when it's a "winter wonderland" or when there's an icestorm.

I LOVE flowers

I LOVE everything about nature. It makes me sad that people prefer to sit in BIG houses instead of going outside & connecting with nature. It also makes me sad to see vacant buildings.

I like watching pretty much all of it But I especially love watching the animals...and I'm fascinated by ants. I also like watching the stars sparkle in the night sky...

I love to watch animals in the woods, just sitting on a fallen tree watching the deer walk by and stare at me before darting away, the birds, I saw a hawk up close once, it was really really cool, he was sitting on the ground eating something...they look so much bigger up close...

I love to watch a winter storm coming in from the ocean. lightening at night. a small waterfall cascading down the rocks in a remote mountain range. deer feed in the meadows in the early morning. trout rise to the surface to feed on the morning hatch of insects. untouched first snow on a alpine meadow. first bloom of spring with snow still on the ground. the ectasy of solitude in the northern mountains silent of all things man made. the forested mountains coming down the edge of the ocean in the Pacific Northwest. untouched piles of driftwood left on the beach after a storm. the sight and sounds of geese in migration passing overhead.

so what do I like watching the most? its kinda hard to pick.

I love horizons, especially here in Texas where you can see forever from just a high hill. I love trees too, to stand or lay under them and look up into the maze of branches. I love woods, and varied dynamic of different environments.

I love the wildflower seasons. Fields of blooms in God's colors. Beautiful. I love to watch calm streams, sit on the bank and smell the air.

I just love being outdoors! Being a former AF brat did lots of travelling,so I love all kinds of scenery (mountains,forests, waterfalls and the Sonoran desert my favorites) love watching wildlife. Watching the sunset over Lake Erie and watching the waves,there is something about moving water that just soothes one so well.

I love so many aspects of nature - oceans, mountains, reflections in quiet pools, wildlife of many sorts.

But for me the birds are the Creator's special blessing to me. Over more than 30 years of birding, there are many wonderful bird memories!

A few highlights - a superb bird-of-paradise displaying at Porgera, Papua New Guinea; hyacinth macaws in glorious blue in the Brazilian Pantanal; sighting a mountain peacock-pheasant at Tanah Rata in Malaysia; a single gentoo penguin on a beach in the Beagle Channel, Tierra de Fuego, mixed in with a bunch of Magellanic penguins; a number of bald ibis roosting in a ravine in the mountains of Lesotho... and burrowing owls popping up together with prairie dogs from burrows near Loveland, Colorado. Too special!

I love moon gazing and stargazing. I also love to look out to tall mountains and into deep forests. It's all so peaceful when you meditate in nature.

I also love experiencing thunderstorms and the raw power. It makes me ponder all of God's creation.

What do you like watching the most in nature?

for me, i just love staring at the clouds and the moon. They look so different during different time..

thin cloud, racing cloud cover, fluffy cloud, thick cloud cover, flimsy cloud cover...

sickly moon, full moon, half moon, scimitar-like moon, moon during day time (only the part with craters seen), bright moon...

I love watching the night skies...moon, stars, shooting stars and meteor showers, eclipses, aurora (when we have that blessing)

I can also be lost in contemplation for hours in a deep pine forest or at a beaver pond

It is hard to pick ...I love the tiniest bug to the most majestic mountain to the galaxies

Amazing ~ praise God for the wonder and glory of His creations

And any time I'm near water, I can't help searching for fish (or anything else living down there). I could spend hours... in fact, I have.
