I enjoy walking outside, especially in parks, and gardening in my yard, and watching birds and wild animals wherever I may see them. I enjoy taking photos of flowers, animals and beautiful scenery. I think there would be so many other things I would love to do outdoors but just haven't had a chance to experience them.

Watching the birds on the condo grounds, especially black phoebes and hummingbirds, but there are so many I don't know what blessing will be coming my way next :)

^^ Hopeful, you're welcome. They're all around here, sitting on low lamp posts and of course flying everywhere. Some like to come upstairs by our front door, sit on the railing and pick off bugs then zip by my head when I start up the stairs:

I love watching birds; they are so 'heart-opening', aren't they?! :)

I like to pet mellow puppies: they feel so warm and are just so darn happy to be alive

Birds are God's example to us to live and He will take care of us. I have some cardinals that sit on our railing and talk to our two cats. The cats usually come in after the squawking. I have two older dogs, but years ago I knew them as warm small puppies. Great memories.:D Do you have any other animals or pets that love walking, running in the great outdoors?

I love feeding squirrels, watching neighbor's cats stalking, sunning themselves--and coming across Mallard ducks using the pools for a pond :)

We rent a condo and animals are not 'allowed' to walk off-leash or run about... except the geckos--can't stop 'em, and most don't see 'em, anyway (I love geckos!)

^^ Becca, that is lovely, just awesome :)

What do I enjoy outside...

Walking the grounds saying The Jesus Prayer and paying attention to each word:

Jesus Christ
Son of God
Have Mercy on me.

or this version which is close:

Jesus Christ
Son of God
Teach me to love.

Pine and other trees, birds of all kinds flying above and past me, bees, the ticking, click and more subtle buzz of hummingbirds fighting over territory:

And the prayer acknowledging Jesus Christ our Redeemer, Son of God (Begotten, come down to save us), Have Mercy on Me: a Humble plea reminding me who I am and who I am not...

and 'Teach me to love': The Two Greatest Commandments 'concentrated' in this line.

I am learning; I am learning to love; and I am learning to love God in a way I never understood intellectually, let alone felt or tried to put into 'action' as a kind of obedience, yes, but also true, extended gratitude:

Not good at it; not natural to me; I resist it; and yet...

I'm growing :)

Growth to all God's children, in/through Christ Jesus,

~ Carolyn

Time spent immersed in nature feeds my soul and spirit as well. Walking through the ever increasing piles of leaves as the season turns to winter I find my pace slowing down internally to what it should be, not the world man creates that spins way too fast for our good. Even in the cold and quiet of snow God's amazing creative power never ceases to amaze me. Nature is a big reset switch for me, and I thank our awesome Creator for its restorative power in my life.

Enjoying the fall day walking down by St. Marys river. The leave have changed their color with the squirrels, birds and rabbits were out along the trail. Thanking God for the day and Praying for peace. I am looking forward to Thanksgiving day. I hope everyone can get out side an click a picture of the area they walk and share with the group.
