What do you do with your old books?

I usually give them to my cousins because they are younger than me.

I can say the same because our extended family is so huge.I have over 15 cousins. there's always someone younger who wants my books or I trade with my cousins too.

I would burn my statistics book if it didn't have such a high resale value.

I put sell them because i'll keep them for awhile (a couple years) then they seem to find there way into the annual church yard sale.

I too cannot believe anyone would throw away a book. Between us my husband and I have over 1000 books and we get more by the day. Normally if I get a book and I really don't like it and will never read it again, it goes to charity.

I hoard them. The situations getting drastic now, though, as my bookshelves are full and I've started stacking them on my floor I say I'm going to try and sell more of them but I can't decide which ones to part with, except rubbish texts I had to read for school - which nobody seems to want, lol.

I keep them...it would be such a pity to throw it away.

Most of the time I'll try to get trade credit at one of the local used bookshops; any books they don't want I donate to the library's book sale.

Ditto.

Although I usually try to keep them, sometimes I just run out of space and have to clean some out to make room for more.

I keep all my old books. I do let others borrow them to read.

Ones I think I may read again someday (I usually do this!) I keep, or if I really liked them as a child, I keep them for my kids some day! (My mom never got to keep any of her childhood things.) I give away the ones that I think someone else would enjoy.
