So! I am thinking of starting a few new topics called "What Do You Do When..."

This will range from various topics including:

1. "What do you do when you feel sad?"
2. "What do you do when you feel lonely?"
3. "What do you do when people talk behind your back?"
4. "What do you do when you get jealous?"

I think this could be very theraputic. :D

----------------

Here's the first one: What do you do when you get angry?

----------------

Me? I want to kick down a door. I don't know why, and I have never kicked down a door. However when I get very angry or mad I imagine myself kicking down a door. It really helps! ^_^

Oh I don't like how I cope when I am angry.

- I usually feel like hitting something so sometimes I end up slamming things like drawers. :(

- I usually go off and be on my own and listen to some music.

- I work out to some music.

- I cry.

- Shout if someone bothers me (yeah, I need to work on that). :(

I write my heart...literally.

I get my anger out on paper. In poetry, in stories, in random phrases, in prayers. Then I go out and hit something inanimate. That object is my anger, and until it is a crumpled, destroyed mess, I am not satisfied. Scars abound.

"I never been in a fight, you?"

"No, but that's a good thing."

"No it's not. How much you know about yaself you never been in a fight? I don't wanna die without any scars. Come on, hit me."

"What, in the face?"

"Surprise me."

"This is so stupid."

"Why the ear, man?!"

"I guess I messed it up."

"No that was perfect!"

It depends on why I'm angry and with whom. Off the top of my head I think I would talk to the person I am angry with, as calmly as possible, and see if I can fix whatever made me angry. I don't really stay angry, though, and I usually forget that I'm mad at a certain person. Like a week later I'll remember "oh, yeah, I was supposed to be mad at that person." I wonder if that happens to anyone else.

Get away.. I get myself out of that angry situation and into a calming and relaxing place (usually the beach/ocean). Clear my head, forget about whatever it was that made me angry. Realize that no matter what it is, being angry about it probably wont help the situation. Then I move on..

I usually don't get angry enough to do much. Sometimes I tell people around me that I'm aggravated but I typically have somewhat of a sense of humor about it.

If I am really, REALLY ticked off I'll tell you "how it is" but that's rare.

And even more rare is when I physically shake and cry (which makes me more mad because it is embarassing).

Now, you really have to make an effort to get me mad, but I try to resolve the issue as soon as possible, because if I let if fester, it will get worse. There have been times were I have to wait, since I won't be able to respond as rationally as I'd like, so then I wait.
