So you didnt need to be born again?
Is that a question or an accusation?
The negative assumption inherent in your question, that I was not born again, is sort of hurtful.
Try: Did you need to be born again? or, Was being born again a part of that for you? or even, What role did being born again play?
Those are positive or neutral, and thus respectful.
Its a question, not an accusation and im sorry if you took it as such. I will ask it differently this time, are you born again or do you believe that you need to be born again in order to enter into Gods kingdom?
Your profile says you became a christian at the age of 9 so I take it you were born again at the age of 9 correct?
No. I'm not saying that. You are.
Is all this really "just to get to know you?"
It doesn't feel like that.
Im not saying anything bro, im just asking a simple yes or no question, You sure do get offended mighty easily over something so simple, I would hate to think how you would handle something really stressful.
Again dude, it was just a question and one now that I deeply regret asking you. Im not gonna make that mistake again, I can assure you of that.
Chill out.
I'm encouraged not to give out more personal info than I feel comfortable giving, and if this line of questioning wasn't leading to some theological point, then I must have misunderstood. I'm sorry. I wasn't trying to sound negative.
If God made a person specifically to fail, and that person failed, were they not successful?
If God made a person specifically to fail, and they succeeded, were they not a failure?
Thus, the problem with "God is really the one pulling the strings around here."
If a person was designed to fail, and that person fails, then God succeeded. It would be circular logic to say otherwise, like if I said, "This sentence is false."
If we fail, we fail. If we succeed, we succeed. But God always wins. If we are with God, we have victory. If we're without God, everything is failure.
Yes, you certainly did misunderstand me. Im not playing games and trying to lead you down some path of theological games, I was asking the question because I was simply wanting to know more about your testimony and when you were born again.
There is no need to put up a guard with me as im not out to harm you in some way, im one of the last people around here that you need to worry about when it comes to that.
Your statement contradicts itself right there at the end.
"If we are without God..."
In the world where God is the only one making us do anything, how could any of us possible be "without God."
That is where the circular logic being employed starts showing cracks.
There are no contradictions or circular logic in my statement. The unsaved are the people without God. They do not belong to God, they're on the wrong side: the losing side.
Why?
They are, according to these arguments, on the side God put them.
How do they then not belong to God?
How are they, by being exactly what God made them to be, or the wrong side.
That doesn't compute.
