I've been with the same company for 11 years now. We make and sell software for the mortgage industry. Started in sales, but also did IT work (maintained the office computers and network) and web design/programming. Then the company was restructured and I moved to Northern California. Worked in Quality Assurance (testing our software). While technically I am still part of QA, I haven't done any QA work in about a year or so. I create our installation routines for our software and have been adding custom code to our new CRM (contact management) system.
For fun, I like to do web design and web programming, and do some programming in C#. Although, because of my job, I don't often do that. Too worn out from doing similar stuff on a daily basis.
Even I hate QA. I've been in QA for 5 years. I'm ready to get fully into development, if my manager will ever finalize the transition. Seems unlikely anytime soon, unfortunately.haha--QA. The guys everybody loves to hate. Poor QA.
Cool, apart from the afternoon shift bit.
I work in the Paintshop as well at our van manufacturing plant, what do you do, I work on Maintenance down the cleanroom.
I write software for the man. No, I'm not evil; I just work for evil, and make evil more efficient for everyone. It's like being an Italian Accountant, or a Blood Assurance employee in a Blade movie.
oooo! me, too!or be a professional ballroom dancer.
I work afternoon shift in a car manufacturing plant, in the paintshop.
