I have heard all manner of scathing attack on this man and his ministry. Yet at the same time I have heard of a couple of healings from anecdotal evidence through his ministry and I believe the gospel is being preached at Hinn's crusades.

What I have not heard much of though is a perspective from the P/C side of the debate. Anyone here have a (respectfully posted) opinion here about the man and his ministry? Do you believe the man is genuinely anointed to heal? Are his prophecies and teachings acceptable or are they errant? is he simply trying to operate in areas that are outside his gifting by preaching and prophesying? Do you believe the criticisms are more a result of certain ministry practices that need to be fixed up?

I could go on, but please, feel free to post your thoughts and opinions and in a spirit of grace.

cheers,

I have been watching Benny since He pastored a church in Orlando. I was first drawn to watch him because of the worship music he had.

I started taping his programs shortly after that, and I began to see a pattern in the healings that took place when he ministered.

The healings usually happened during the time of praise and worship, with people coming to the stage after the fact to testify of what happened to them.

I began to see that he was almost as blown away by the miracles, as those who were healed, and he would ask them what they felt, and have them describe the experiences.

Later when he went on the road with his ministry, I taped nearly all of them, and watched every one. I have seen him weep with those who were healed, and laugh with them, i've seen him have many emotional times with those he ministered to. I've seen him hug the babies who were healed of deafness, when they heard sounds the first time in their lives, and it was so loud it scared them.

I've heard him preach and teach many, many times, and I've watched him mature in his faith, and his beliefs, and when he has said something I have found fault with, I just pray for discernment, and many times I have heard him correct himself.

Benny has said many times, he's not the healer, only God is the healer, he said he couldn't heal a fly.

Bennys gift, in my opinion, is leading people into the presence of God, and that is where healing of mind, body, and soul take place.

He has said many times, that healing is not the greatest miracle, but salvation is, and I have seen thousands come forward for salvation.

Benny always says to those receiving salvation, for them to find a bible believing church, and to begin reading the bible.

Hair styles, different looking suits, theatrics, How trivial.

I love Benny, because he loves Jesus, and tries, in his fleshly way, to preach the Gospel, and see those broken in spirit, and in body healed, just like Jesus did.

Amen to that, brother. I don't care if he's in a tutu or pirate suit, if he's a man of God and does work according to Him, who are we to question God's will? It's by Him that Benny Hinn is who he is.

I took a sick friend to hinns "ministry".The Lord spoke to my very core I remember as though it were yesterday.I went out to get a drink and in the halls were all kinds of wheelchairs, beds etc...people in the pit of utter despair.I saw the longing in their eyes.He saoid "do you see all of these people? They will be leaving the same as they came.My heart was crushed.Needless to say I cannot and will not trust that "ministry".When the people were brought to Jesus none left the same way NONE! God Bless. Be wise.

Well, if you think those folks came to worship Benny and seek healing from Benny...then wouldn't it have been cool if you went and prayed for them and gave God an opportunity to heal them through your hands? God is not stripped of His power or His love for people just because some might idolize a pastor.

Well Hisgirl, that would be great if anyone could go around the hallways laying hands on the sick, but in reality I don't think they would think kindly of you doing that unless you are one that is a qualified praying person ..they hire their own for that, they have people that go around each aisle to pray with those that can't get on stage. If you know how Churches run their business then you would know how it is at a crusade like this.I have been to Churches that requires you to go see "Pastor " if you have a word, song, prophecy ,or to pray for someone first before doing it! Sound ridiculous? It is. I know there are those that could come in with weird stuff and do something not scriptural, and has to be made sure that doesn't happen, but I have witnessed time and time again that the person that runs to the Pastor with a so called message is just a word from their emotions instead of the Lord. They would say the Lord told me........everyone in this place is going to be healed of________,and everyone would wait and wait, nothing would happen and that would be the end of it....you would just kind of say "oh well", and go home....This shouldn't be so either. so why does this thing happen? Why are so many going home without being healed? Is this just a show or what? Some of these workers at the Benny Hinn show are actually ones that are good hearted prayer warriors coming to really do the work of the Lord and God will heal though these hands, why wouldn't He? My question is why are so many not? And why not? They are all seeking the Lord when they come, but too many worship man, trust in man,and that has to quench what the Holy Spirit wants to really do.They come for physical healing, but are they in need of something else ? Like salvation? Do they preach about that there? I believe the Lord would rather see these people saved and go to heaven, and this is for all of us to do..........laying hands on people is fine for me to do, and I enjoy it , not everyone feels that way,but to preach the Good News? That is what we are SUPPOSE to do.

That's an interesting thing to think of...

I've yet to go to any kind of conference when I didn't feel led by the Holy Spirit to pray for someone. I guess in those cases, the Lord sought permission from the senior pastor and was given the go-ahead. LOL! The thought never occurred to me that I was breaking protocol... Oooh, makes me feel like an undercover agent or something!

Your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to go to all the Benny Hinn conferences and heal everybody in the waiting lines before they have a chance to go on stage for healing.

Of course, should you or any of your team be uncovered we will disavow any knowledge of your actions.

This message will self destruct in 10, 9, 8...

This thread has jumped topic...

I would never pray for someone in a meeting if I was not in relationship with the Pastor or organisers, unless I had a really clear direction from God.

There are some nutters about at these places, and I understand why people are careful.

Cheers,

I believe God heals at the meetings, but Hinn does not say that God is definitely going to heal all there. The apostles were the ones who had the power to heal all they come in contact with, people used to line up in the streets and were healed by Peter's shadow. What Benny has is a lot different, some people are healed at the meetings and the Gospel is preached.

Too bad ! God may tell us what to do and we do NOTHING because we feel like undercover angents. Personally I love being a gorilla fighter for the LORD.
